The product performs as advertised. I've installed them on my freezer doors and tweaked the magnet's position to detect even a slight (1 mm) opening. The alarm is audible from upstairs. I do wish the delay timer could be set for a slightly longer duration; it doesn't allow me enough time to arrange my freezer before it sounds. However, I can simply close the door to reset it, so it's not a major issue. The batteries have lasted over three years, with me opening the door roughly four times a week. (These alarms are fitted on our basement's overflow freezers.) The alarm emitted a rather strange sound when the battery terminal corroded.

They work great for the purpose I bought then for, as an alarm in case our deep freeze door is left open. You can set the delay before it starts beeping. Just what I wanted.

Needed a refrigerator alarm that would alert if the door was open. easy to install with the double sided sticky tape. Works like a charm. Battery compartment is easily accessible after installation. Don't lose the tiny instruction sheet in case you want to change the settings. Can also be used as an alarm which sounds immediately - it is VERY loud in that mode. If I had toddlers (or seniors) that wandered out the door, I would definitely want this on places that need notification.

After having the freezer left open twice, needed an alarm. (Shutting the fridge door would pop the freezer open once in a while.)Works is intended, made it work with my fridge by using 3m double sided tape.Just wish the timed left door open setting would chirp a bit louder or signal a louder alarm after a few minutes.Would buy again though.

The arrows on the two pieces have to be practically touching for the sensor to not beep. Both the freezer on my fridge and the upright freezer have rubber seals about a half inch so it was too big of a gap. Also I was trying to set it for 60 seconds and an alarm went off that was screechingly loud. The only reason my husband didn't panic when he heard it across the room was because he didn't recognize the sound and knew it wasn't the smoke house alarms. On another occasion I pushed what I thought would stop the beeping and that same screech went off again. But the main problem is it won't work on the side of a fridge/freezer if you have any kind of a thick seal. There's a drawer above my freezer drawer but it has a big gap, also, and it would be in the way stuck to the front. If they are going to sell it for fridges they need a little stronger magnet to account for the seal that most fridges and freezers have.

This is a great product I did not know existed. Our freezer was left WIDE open overnight and all the food was ruined.The alarm can be set a variety of ways. I set it for a 30 second delay. The alarm is loud enough to be heard in the house which is perfect.Great product. It was so easy to install, the battery life seems long. It was a good value.

It was fairly easy to install however, the issue is the space between the two sensors is so small that it is not applicable to most appliances, the gap between the side of the (in my case refrigerator) and the door has the gasket to keep the cold air in. The installation to make the sensor work was to have on piece on side of door & the other piece installed on the very edge of the side so the gap was small enough for gap to work. Also, the 2 alarms if opened in the case of security issue is EXTREMELY loud, however for my use with the refrigerator, I set time to 30 seconds before alarm goes off which works, however the alarm is not loud enough which sits in the garage. My hope was once 30 seconds was up & door was ajar, then this loud alarm would go off. The alarm with the timer does increase sound but not to a point where you could hear over the TV. Would not purchase for this issue again, maybe in another scenario.

After losing an entire deep freezer full of meat 3 times over the past 10 years, we decided to invest in the alarm. Although the tiny written instruction manual was a bit confusing, the videos on the Amazon page was easy and my husband installed it in minutes. We did several tests to get the correct alarm delay (for us was 15 seconds). I feel much better knowing that if the door doesn't close all the way again, there will be an alarm telling that person to come back and shut the door! I got the pack of two because it was a great deal.
