All around great product that is currently saving us several hundred dollar.s
So my girlfriends BoxerBull HATES having his nails clipped. He freaks out no matter how hard we try to make it a positive experience. He simply hates the feeling of his very large nails being cut. His nails are pretty big and his old nail clippers caused them to splinter some times due to this. After seeing how quickly our vet could clip his nails with similar clippers to these we decided to buy a pair. Don't get me wrong, he still fusses up a storm and kicks me in the face but now it is actually possible to clip all of his nails in one go. We don't have to pay for them to be clipped anymore which will save us a good deal since his nails have become over grown. We were even thinking of opting to pay the several hundred dollars for the procedure to cut them back down. I don't believe we will need to be doing that anymore. These are sharp , safe and easy to use. It has a guard on the back so that we aren't afraid of cutting to much and getting his wick. Which was for us a big fear since he always pulls his legs and causes us to missfire. They also don't require nearly as much hand strength or force that our old ones needed. Which causes us to have to take multiple breaks. His nails haven't splintered yet since we started using these and the clips are neat and clean. I didn't know what to expect at this price point but these are absolutely fantastic. I won't completely dread having to spend half an hour sweating and fighting my dog to get half his nails clipped. I am extremely glad I bought these. They work great on puppies too. All around great product.

Good Nail Clipper
I love this nail clipper, works great. My Anny doesn't mind having her nails done {I started playing with her paws since she was a pup @ 2 months old, she is going to be 11 yrs old this month}. I decided to start grooming her myself, the groomer I had went up in the price... at first I was a scared to use them but they are very easy to use, seem well made, light weight, I have a big hand and they fit good and easy to hold, her nails aren't small I'd say a medium size and the clipper works great

Great for my Chocolate Lab
Great sturdy nail clipper. I use this with my chocolate lab and it makes the nail clipping experience easy and quick. I feel in control of the clipper the entire time.

Good with a minor flaw
Okay, I moved from the country to the city with my two dogs. I have a Rottweiler/lab mix and a beagle/lab. Because they are not able to run around as much, their nails have grown. Now the dogs have a backyard, but it is no where near as impressive as my old home, but they get their exercise but no where near to what they used to get. When I got these I knew it was going to work on the beagle/lab but I was not sure with the Rotty. When I got the package that's where I discovered these clippers are for small and medium size dogs. The Rotty is a medium size, and they work just fine. What have been doing is every Saturday clipping a small bit off at a time. Now, remember this is the very first time they have had this treatment so they didnt know what to do the very first time. Today marks week three and it was not as much of a challenge. The best feature with these clippers is also the biggest issue. That is the guard. The guard keeps the clippings small, but if you are not careful the darn thing will move on you. Some times you will spend more time getting the guard in the right place and keeping in the right place then it take to cut. Almost a kind of design flaw, should be able to lock that in place, but ya can't. This is the only reason why they were not given a five star rating. Over all this is a good product and though my K-9 overlords/protectors/babies didn't like it at first, but they have gotten used to it and love the extra attention. Oh yeah... have treats on hand... of course they like those too!

Highly recommend
We purchased these nail clippers to replace an older pair, and we’re so glad we did! These new clippers work incredibly well compared to our previous ones. They’re sharp, easy to use, and the built-in guard is a great feature to prevent cutting the nails too short. It made trimming our dog’s nails so much easier and faster. Highly recommend!

Works exactly as well as it says it will.
My two cats hate being groomed, but this speeds it up little and cuts their murder mittens down so they won’t kills me. The clipper is very good quality and I’m not worried about it breaking. It is really easy to clean, the color is good, and it’s comfortable in my hand.

Coastal Pet Safari Dog Nail Trimmers are the best.
I have purchased 3 pairs of the Coastal Pet Safari Dog Nail Trimmers over the past 10 years because they are that good. I have both sizes for different sized dogs. I still have 2 of the 3 pairs after all this time. They are sharp, so it makes trimming nails easy, but be careful for this same reason. The guard on the clippers is great when I have recently done a trim and only want to take the edge off the nail. You don't want to clip off too much at once and cut into the quick of the nail. The lock mechanism works great for storing the clippers, and the spring action of squeezing to clip the nail is sturdy. I highly recommend these dog nail trimmers.

Works.
Now, I'm new to grooming my dog because for the last several years I've been paying a groomer. But with budget constraints, I've been having to take care of his needs myself. It clips his paws just fine. I was unaware that there are nerves in their claws. And so you have to be careful where you clip. But other than that, it does great. I would recommend Gatineau. And getting a buffer to go with this because they get really sharp after you clip them.

For dogs with black nails, this trimmer helps to ensure that too much of the nail is not cut off in one pass. The design of the tool enables a nibbling effect to gradually trim away at the nail, which is much safer and causes less stress for the dog.

If I could add a 6th star, I would! My dog is a 40lb, mid-aged gs/husky mutt. She has black nails and thankfully allows me to cut them. I'd been using the same nail snipper for years and had started to wonder if the blades may have dulled and were causing her any discomfort. Happily I had a second pair squirreled away that I had seldom used and ... That one was worse! Both were cheaper ones I'd purchased on Amazon in a similar style as this one. Imagine my surprise when I spent a little more and made sure the scissor was appropriate for the nail of a larger dog! The old ones would create a 'snap!' sound and feeling as I clipped through the nail. This one just went through like butter! Easier on my hands, my dog's nails, and so easy to operate! The slight indentation where the nail is centred to clip creates a bit of a blind spot, but these snippers go through so easily I just intentionally look to feed a tiny bit of nail at a time and then re-assess if another snip is warranted. My dog has a calcium rich diet as she is raw fed. I knew her coat and teeth were in healthy condition because of that, but, it never occurred to me that her nails might be extra strong as well. Happy to have found a much sharper, stronger tool to make this routine activity less stressful for both of us!

buscava unas tijeras que cortaran mucho ya que si no cortan bien les astilla las uñas y se pueden hacer daño al rascarse ellos mismos, estas dejan corte limpio.

The item is quite small. So big hands may find it awkward to use when treating the animal.
