I saw that someone had rated this badly because the bowls were small. I knew from that comment and the dimensions that it would be perfect for my purpose which is appetizer size portions. The bowls hold approx. 1/2 cup of liquid. The dimensions were listed, but not the volume they hold. Perhaps this information might have been a helpful addition to the description.

I use these to serve lobster bisque, clam chowder, cheese soup. When just a smaller portion is needed, these bowls are great!

Come on folks! These bowls, if you can even call them bowls, hold about 4 ounces - MAXIMUM - They are VERY TINY. It is a challenge to even get a round soup spoon in the "bowl". They are without a doubt of excellent quality and I love the Lionshead raised figures on each side but I am at a loss as to what I could actually us 10 of these for - possibly for individual dipping containers - that you would have to constantly refill? I do love this line and will seek out other items but I will be very careful to shop based on actual capacity and not get carried away by the delightful design. Bummer - Michele
