Will this cut through bone?

Yes, easily. My sister buys those cow tibia bones for her dog with filling in them. The dogs can only get to so much of it. After a while, we cut them in half. I've done it a number of times on one blade, no issues.

What materials were used in making the handle for this saw? It is difficult to tell from the photos if the bands are bamboo, plastic or ???

The handle is made of soft white wood that is wrapped in bamboo (?) strips. Great saw!!

Does this saw work well with hardwoods

This saw works well with any wood type. Honestly it’s cut through everything Like butter. I’ve cut oak, maple, walnut etc. I love this little dovetail saw. It’s absolutely worth getting
