I wanted to like this, but it just wouldn't work correctly with the bag --- until I added my own little hack to the device.The challenge with the bag is that it slips off the pickup head if you are picking up multiple piles. It's just physics...nothing is there to prevent the bag from falling off.After trying a few different techniques, I settled on my own patent-pending advanced modification --- adding a rubber band. After putting the bag on the pickup head, just put a rubber band around the edge of the bag as shown in the picture I've attached. This will hold it in place. When you are done, just slide the rubber band back onto the handle for use next time. I've also found that it is best to turn the scooper upside down after picking up a pile so that the pile falls all the way down into the bag, before trying to pick up another one.To the manufacturer: include a rubber band and update the instructions, and I'll update this to 5 stars :-).

I purchased this for a tenant who was lax in cleaning up after his dog. First he said he couldn't see at night, so I supplied him with a flashlight. Then he said he had back problems that prevented him from bending down. So basically I was buying the Tidy Turd to take away his excuses. On the day he received it, not only did he get out there and immediately clean up all old, new, petrified, bug-infested, and water-logged-from-being-snow-covered dog excrement, but he was JUBILANT about doing so! Other residents who had previously been complaining about the mess outside confirmed that he was out in the yard cleaning up AND singing the praises of his new scooper. He also texted me several times in the following days thanking me and telling me what a great tool this was, how well it was constructed, and how easy it was to use. So I'm giving this 5 Stars because any device that instantly compels a tenant to comply with his lease, AND gets other tenants to cease calling with complaints, but also causes EXCITEMENT and SINGING about cleaning up dog poop (of all things!!!!!).....that sure sounds like a winning product to me! With these kinds of results, now I'm going to buy one for my child!!!

I have never owned a scooper before, but this is the one I'll stick with for it's lifetime. This scooper works great and the seller even has a video to explain how the bags are placed on the scooper!The length of the scooper is perfect for a 5'5" woman, which spared my cranky arthritic back. The length also allows easy adjustment of the bag on the scoop if it shimmies down between picking up piles.I have had inflammatory arthritis for a few years ao squeezing tools can be painful for me. It was wonderful to be able to use this scooper continuously for about 8 piles before I had to give my hand a rest. It is also very light, so didn't stress my wrist. I did use two hands when I held the scoop over my bucket to prevent pain since my wrists are weak, also.I went about cleaning up our back yard with the goal to pick up all piles I could find with the scooper/bag combo, putting each load into a bag-lined bucket. It's so easy to put the bags on that came with the scooper. They fit snugly so they stay on for several pickups in a row. They also stretch enough to open the jaws of the scoop to pick up the mess my two dachshunds left in our yard (10 lb and 13 lb).I was concerned that the teeth on the scooper would rip the bag as the jaw closed on it repeatedly, but they didn't and yet the scoop closed tightly enough to pull turds out of 7" long grass we had due to daily rain. I was able to use the scooper with the same bag several times before I had to pull back on the edges of the bag to continue getting more turds collected in my bucket. The turds also easily slipped from the scooper to the bucket when I released the scoop over the bucket. I collected 8 piles in one session, with the same bag installed, and when I pulled the bag off, it was not torn at all. It was also clean on the outside of the bag, so I could have thrown it away separately, but threw it in the bag in the bucket I used and threw it all away in our trash. No mess left at all!I hope this helps someone make a decision to try this scooper out. I consider myself lucky that I picked this one first.

Sounds logical but the Long Handle Pooper Scooper actually picks up dog feces directly into the bag - and one of the only ones to do so effectively. After hip surgery, I could no long bend down to do so. Lots of scoopers pick up and let you transfer into a bag or disposal unit (yuk). It is solidly made and is surprising very light. Go for it!

This thing is the BOMB !!! I have a giNORmous dog (South African Boerboel) and his poops are like cow plop. THIS pooper scooper picks the WHOLE thing up..... I walk to the back of my property, grab the tree and F-L-I-N-G it across the swamp in the back behind the fence. pap pap pap pap pap pap pap pap pap is what I hear as they each hit the plants or the water :-D I havent used the bags yet :-D But I'm sure the attached roll of bags come in SUPER handy to those who don't have the luxury of being able to fertilize the lush green elephant ears behind our fence in the swamp :-DI work for my husband's welding business he runs on our property, and never in a million years would I EVER have thought that picking up poop would be my FAVORITE time of the day !!!! ;-)

Came fast, easy to put together (snaps into place with a little force/muscle) & easy to use. I (personally) find the bags it comes with annoying 😊 so I probably will not use them on the "claw".

I cannot review the use of this product as it was snapped when it arrived. It's really not surprising as the material used is not sturdy and I imagine would have broken after the first use anyway. Still not been able to get a refund from the seller.

This scoop works exactly as advertised. Ingenious little device that picks up dog waste, and because the bags cover the scoop, it does not get soiled or need washing. If you find bending difficult (as I do) or you just want to avoid contact with dog feces, this item is for you. The only drawback is that standard dog poop bags are too narrow for it. You need a larger type that will fit over the scoop and still accommodate it opening to grab the waste. Such bags are available on Amazon.ca so no need to worry!
