What is the base used for growing these in the laboratory - wood or grains or something else?

The base is Organic Brown rice and rather than a laboratory they are grown in an indoor farm.

Does this product help lung fungus?

Yes it surely has helped with my lung problem. The pulmonologist was very happy when he saw the last CTscan. I did not tell him the first few scans I had about the product. I was afraid to tell him because I was not sure how he felt about homeopathic meds. I am doing quite well with absolutely no problems at this time. It has been two years since I had an open lung biopsy done.

Why not the Fruiting bodies instead of the mycelium? isn't the mycelium inferior in efficacy to mycelium?

Host Defense has done a massive amount of research to make these supplements as potent and effective as possible. They have found that the mycelium is the most effective at helping with the conditions addressed with each product. Some products do contain fruit body as well. Host Defense uses mycelium because the mycelium contains the higher concentration of the nutrition of the mushrom. The mycelium also produces compounds that are not found in fruiting bodies.

Any follow up from people taking this supplement and having improved medical test results?

Not for me, because there weren't tests done in the first place, just scans and medical history. All I really care about is it works as well and as fast as Bronkaid, which has gotten hard to come by, for me and it has other benefits and no side effects. Your mileage may vary, however, depending on your own body. It doesn't replace a rescue inhaler.
