great replacement for a broken zipper on my favorite jacket

This is a great heavy duty metal zipper. I put it in quickly. The only improvement I would request is that the zipper sometimes does not glide easily. But it is not an issue all of the time. I was told by a friend to put chapstick on the metal teeth and that will take care of the problem. I haven't tried that yet, but will. Other than that I loved the quick delivery and the durability of this zipper. It is so much better than those plastic ones.

Yesterday, the very day I received the zipper, I started to put it on to a hooded flannel jacket to replace one that needed a new zipper. I had already taken the old zipper out of the jacket and pinned the new on in place - THEN tried to zip it up to be sure it would work properly. It would NOT zip up. I had to un pin the whole works, take the zipper "handle" off , turn the zipper over and put it on - making it a left hand zipper. This created untold trouble. I finally finished the job today and it does zip OK but my husband has a disabled left hand which is why I did not want a lefty zipper. This created a problem I would just as soon not have had to face. He is 84 and I am nearly 80. Life should be a bit simpler for us seniors than have to contend with errors like this.
