These work great. We'd been using the Seventh Generation gel in a new apartment and our dishes were really needing to be pre-washed before going through the dishwasher in order to actually get clean. I find that to be intolerable -- I'll just hand wash everything at that point. So we tried these based on the reviews and they work! The only time there has been anything left is when I threw in a dish that had been used for something starchy and then left for a few days, so that seemed reasonable. Will definitely be buying these regularly.

I was a bit concerned to get these pods after all the bad reviews of white powder on plates and dishes, arriving with the pods broken, etc. I've run several loads and I am absolutely thrilled - my dishes and glasses have never been cleaner and actually sparkle - not a trace of white powder on anything, including at the bottom of the dishwasher (and my dishwasher is not new - an almost 20-year old KitchenAid). I love that Grab Green is comprised of all safe ingredients too - I discovered it because it's on the EWG list of safe products. Perhaps the key to it is that I also use Ecover rinse aid (purchased on Amazon and another top EWG rated safe product). My dishwasher repair guy also once told me to always run my sink water on the hottest temperature for about 10 seconds as I'm starting the dishwasher to prime the hot water - helps ensure that the pod and powder dissolves properly. It is truly unscented - no odor or taste at all which is what I was looking for. And none of the pods came broken - perhaps with all the bad reviews GoGreen has solved the packaging problem. Will have to see how it does on my next order and with the shelf life - another complaint on here - although I don't think I'll have the package sitting around for very long with regular use. All in all, I am pleasantly surprise and very pleased with the quality and safety of this dishwasher detergent, and will be sticking with it!

I gave this product 5 stars because it exceeded my expectations for a natural cleaning product. I assumed that the brutally harsh chemicals found in Cascade detergent would do a better job cleaning. In fact, I found my glasses and dishes to be clearer, with less residue than the Cascade. The real reason I changed detergent was because I get headaches from the scent of the Cascade, and it permeates everything in my apartment. I really don't know how good those toxic fumes can be for the air either. To make sure I could accurately judge the "smell strength" of this product, I left home for about 35 minutes and returned while this dishwasher load was mid-cycle. I didn't detect anything unless I got right next to the dishwasher. I chose the unscented version of this product, so I can't comment on the scented versions. I read that those smelled nice, but I just didn't want to take the chance of being overpowered by another strong scent and getting headaches. Another nice thing about this product is that it didn't arrive all smashed up in the package as some other users mentioned. Perhaps they ordered bigger packages or simply had careless people involved in the delivery. On top of that, the packet didn't get stuck and "melt" inside the dispenser. It was completely gone when I opened up the dishwasher. About half the time with the Cascade packets, I'd open the dishwasher and wonder how clean my dishes really were, being that the majority of the packet was baked into the dispenser. I highly recommend this product (I bought the 60-load size).

I've tried a variety of "green" products over the past few years. Many seem to not only be over-priced, but they seem to under-perform as well. I like these "pods" because they work. I have an older dishwasher -- nothing new or fancy. My dishwasher doesn't have eighty different settings, with ten different scrubbing modes. Mine is old. It basically has two settings: wash, and power-wash. Some of the newer cleaners don't work well in older machines -- they need more rinsing. (I found this out from a repairman who came to look at my machine when the dishes started coming out with a film. After checking to be sure there was nothing wrong with the machine, he looked at the detergent, and suggested a change.) I tried several different detergents -- regular and "green", with mixed results. Until I discovered these. I love that they are fragrance free (one brand had my dishes smelling and tasting like herbal soap -- believe me, nothing ruins a morning like drinking coffee from a cup that smells like lavender instead of coffee.) Like any detergent and dishwasher, rinsing matters if the dishes are going to sit. If I'm only putting one or two things in the dishwasher, I'll scrape the scraps into the trash can, and rinse the plate. If dinner was a production, and I know I'm going to load and run the dishwasher right away, I'll just scrape off any scraps, and put the dishes into the machine. Since I started using this detergent, I've had no dirty dishes come out of the dishwasher, the glasses are all spotless (and I don't even need to use JetDry).
