I'm a PTA (Physical Therapy Aid). I have issued more than my fair share of equipment since I have worked for the best Orthopedic Surgeons in my state. Reps will come by and show you new products. Most items are fairly comparable; however, this one is SUPERIOR from everything I've ever seen. Here's what sets it apart:- You can purchase multiple colors and code them for different uses (constant cleaning can be hard on gentle skin)- They double as a shoe horn!- There's a magnet on the end. Genius.- The end is quite sensitive and nimble, making it easy for those with arthritis to grab things on the floor.- The hook turns!- You can fold it for travel. Put one in your hospital bag and walker.- The claw is strong enough to pick up larger, heavy items, but won't destroy a piece of paper.- The "Jellas" jelly handle makes it easy to have a firm grip. I have bad knees and bending is becoming more of a problem. I try to keep a reacher/grabber at different places in the house, in my vehicle, on my riding mower and in my shop for easy access, I am always looking for good quality tools at a reasonable price. This two pack was a good price and I thought that the shoehorn might come in handy as well. I had recently broken a couple of poor quality tools so these were replacements. The mechanism seems as sturdy as most I have tried and with the soft tips on these, I am able to pick up small items (coins, paper clips,etc.) easily. I put these two in places where I also had long handled shoe spoons so they eliminated me having two tools in those locations. overall, and especially for indoor use, I think these will meet my needs very well.

I am very pleased with this product. I had a different brand for about a year and I was having to super glue the pinching end on repeatedly. It was not sturdy like this one is. I can pick up much heavier items. Also the rod of this one is stronger and better made. The other one was cracking. Plus this one has a tiny magnet on the end that helps if I drop a fork. Another great feature is the shoe horn built into the handle. I can only reach down to top of my shoes. So trying to keep the back end of my shoe from going into my shoe and under my foot is not possible but with this shoe horn attachment it prevents any of that plus slipping my shoe back off is great too. I am very happy I found this one. After trying others and the one I had to keep repairing, this one is a blessing to help me do things that I would have to ask for help with.

I bought these grabbers because I was having surgery. I'm still in the process of recovering and for six weeks I cannot bend, twist or lift. I needed these just to have a little independence. The grabbers are very sturdy and reliable. I could tell as soon as I opened the package because of their thickness.They have helped me to get dressed, pick up little things I drop, helped me even to get myself something to eat, helped me put my shoes and slippers on with the shoe horn. Thank goodness they come in a two pack because I when I misplace one I have the extra one, which happens a lot. I'd can say I'm really glad I have them.

A nice, sturdy grabber to help with everyday tasks. I use mine to reach items on the floor or behind/under furniture and to pull on my shoes. It is very practical on those days my fingers are too swollen and painful to do little things or when my back hurts to much to bend over.

This is so great. I had surgery and wasn't allowed to bend for 8 weeks. I was able to pick up clothes the boys left on the floor and little pieces of lent/ trash. It was super helpful and still is... I dropped something behind the dryer and used it to grab the shock with ease! My boys played with them like toys and I was worried they would break, but they are so sturdy. I also love the shoe horn feature because it still hurts a little to bend and I was surprised at how easy my shoes went on!! I'm going to buy again so I can have them in multiple places and I can't wait to try it on the mower to pick up any trash in the yard without shutting the mower down and getting off every time.

I absolutely LOVE these! Both my hubby and I have had spinal surgery in the past year and the "grabby grabby"s (affectionately known as LOL) are a life saver. We tried THREE other brands and none of them were strong enough to pick up simple items. Added bonus we didn't even see in the description that it has a shoe horn on the trigger end. Thanks so much for helping us through our recovery.

These grippers are way way better than the first few models that were made. The hand grip is better as far as being ergonomic. The grippers are made better with non slip material. I like the way it’s made too because I can just hook the handle on my bed post or my chairs. This makes them more convenient. And they come in colors?!? What an improvement from the old silver and black. Overall, way better design!!

They work fine, if a little less robust than expected. The reason for 2 star review is the razor sharp edges to the plastic surrounding the trigger areas which sliced through my finger when I picked it up. This really should have been picked up on a long time ago and the edges rounded off or preferably the moulding changed.

Time will tell how durable this grabbers but it certainly looks impressive. An added feature should bea peg on the side of the grabber so as larger items too large to be picked up can be dragged into a better position to lift.

Great product especially for people with disabilities. Well made easy to use.
