How difficult isnto remove the tape from the skin?

I don't know. My skin must be difficult the rest of me lol but tape of any kind I try won't stick to me but sticks to everything else lol. To make any type of tape stickier use skin prep - name brand, or protective wipes - generic which leads me to believe it was originally used for something else. I am a non-practicing nurse with most of my certification in wound care. I didn't finish it and no longer practice due to health. But many times it is very hard to remove dressings from lots of people especially elderly, it will cause skin tears or pediatrics. Pediatrics is difficult because 1, many don't like the ripping the bandaid off fast, we usually definitely use skin prep on them as well as the elderly so the dressings stay on for their full length due to traumatizing the patient and many times the kids in PICU are there for chronic issues so they hate those bandages. The best thing on earth to use are alcohol pads. There are 2 kinds. There are little ones about 1.5x1.5 inches and they are thin and they dry out easily. The other ones are better. They are a little over 2x2 inches and they are soft and are full of alcohol. They won't squeeze out the alcohol. But they don't dry out. There is another cheaper route and I got the idea fro. When I went to the drs office 2 to 3 times per week to get my allergy shots. They had a glass jar with alcohol in it, use cotton balls and they pushed on the lid of the glass container and it works great too but u can just use the bottle the 70% isopropyl alcohol originally comes in

Does using prewrap change the effectiveness of the tape?

We personally recommend applying the KT Tape to the skin. If you are concerned about adhesion, here is a list of steps to take that will help with application and adhesion: -For the very best results, cleaning your skin before application with rubbing alcohol will ensure oils, dirt, and any soap residues are removed from the skins surface. The skin needs to be completely dry after cleaning the area. Any remaining water, oils, or soap residues can cause adhesion trouble. -Clip or shave excessive hair down to 1/8". Tape sticks best directly to skin. -Avoid overstretching. More tension does not equal more support. Follow tension recommendations. -Leave a 2 inch "anchor" point on each end of the KT Strips. The anchor points should also be attached to skin directly. -Avoid touching the adhesive side of the tape. Skin cells come off with the adhesive, and will not re-adhere when touched. Handling the tape with the backer paper is what we suggest. -Once the tape has contacted skin that should be its ultimate location. You will not want to re-position the tape as the strips are not reusable. Once the adhesive has contacted skin that should be where it lies. -Applying a friction rub to the strips will help activate the adhesive. This can be done using the backer paper, your hand, or a hairdryer on a low setting for 15 seconds. -Apply tape at least 60 minutes prior to sweating, using in water, or starting an activity. How many feet long id the "uncut roll" please? I cant find this info anywhere. It should be made clear imo. Thank you!!

The smaller package of uncut tape is 16' ft long, but you can purchase Jumbo rolls with more.
