Awesome product!
The Titan Outdoor Open Fire Pit Roaster is a superb product! We roasted a 77 pound pig on New Year’s Eve and it held up for the almost eight hours it took to roast. It was very easy to assemble and disassemble after it cooled. Another advantage is that it took very little effort to clean. It is made of polished stainless steel that adds to its sturdiness and ease of cleaning. Storage has also been thought of as it comes with a small duffel bag for this purpose. The motor gave no issues either! We turned it on and it worked through the eight hours with ease.I recommend this product while heartedly!Would I buy it again? YES! I would even buy it as a gift.

Great unit with some minor issues
Pretty sweet set-up for roasting a pig. First timer so here are my observations. The pigs turned out great, so lets start there. We roasted (2) 40 lbs. pigs and this set up was just the right size except that we had to cut 4" off of the back feet of the pigs. The spine "U" bolt was not long enough to close around the spine and the spit pole. So I suggest ordering a longer stainless "U" bolt right away. This one would accommodate 2.75in. with spine and pole clamped together. You need 3.5in. to make it work easily. An extra 0.75 inches is needed so total length between inside of "U" and end of threads need to be 3.5 minimum or 3.75in. would be better for larger pigs. The spit pole is ~1.00in. diameter and is really well made as well as stiff enough for the 40lbs. pigs. The motor turns at ~6 RPM and worked very well for the 6-7 hours we ran it next to the fire. It gets hot due to the fire but ran well. The stands bolted together easily. One stand had a mis-aligned hole at the base but still worked well. Seemed like a high quality set-up with some minor correctable issues. Definitly get an appropriately sized spine clamp. The feet and head clamps worked well.

Extremely well constructed "commercial grade" equipment
I purchased this rotisserie for use over an existing outdoor fire pit. I was most impressed with the quality of the materials and the construction. The rig is extremely well built with very heavy gauge stainless steel, and drilled to close tolerances to allow for an easy assembly. Even the socket wrench they included for assembly is a quality tool that I will actually keep in my toolbox. I'll only take the time to write a review if it really is a notably superior product. This is one of those products. Extremely well built, and a great value for the price.

My husband loves to cook pigs and goats and this has saved him so much time outside holding his own pole for hours.Easy clean, definitely worth your money, material is good, and accurate size for animals for rotisserie

Don't waste your $
I bought this to roast 45lb thanksgiving turkey for family, When I first received the outfit the everything looked good, nice metal work welds etc... I trial fit everything together in my living room. All looked gook except for spit rod. Its a two piece screw together unit. It is very light weight (more on that later). When I screwed the two pieces together there was a significant bow in the rod which would have made it very difficult to balance food. I contacted Titan and they were able to ship me a replacement which arrived right before holiday. On T.Day I started early and put bird on rod. In order to keep bird from rotating on rod you need to tighten the screws pretty well. As it turns out the rods are light gauge welded to heavier end pieces. When you tighten the screws for the forks you can't tell how much is too much. As you move the meat and forks around to balance the meat you end up leaving dimples in the rod where screws were tightened. With a heavier meat such as a pig, you conceivably make a large enough dent to compromise the integrity of the rod and lose your dinner to the fire! The spit doesn't have to be one piece but, it should be made of solid steel!I wish that was the only thing wrong with the product. After two and a half hours the motor started buzzing loudly and then suddenly quit working. Our bird was already to large to fit in the oven whole, hence the spit roaster. Now we had to cut it up to fit in the oven to finish. Not an Ideal situation when other food is cooking etc... Dinner was late, people were getting cranky. DON'T BELIVE THE HYPE!

Rotisserie Grill
The media could not be loaded. Works great, only issue I had was the threads on the spit were made backwards. Had to tighten them by going left and it took me a good 5 minutes to get that figured out.Otherwise, we grilled a small gator for 5 hours on a Cajun boil party and it came out great with evenly cooked meat.

My parents are from the Philippines and they wanted to roast a pig like back home so this was really easy for them ...
Not going to lie I was a little hesitant to buy this at first. I never bought a big piece of equipment off of amazon, let alone anywhere else on the web. This definitely exceeded my expectations for sure!!! My parents are from the Philippines and they wanted to roast a pig like back home so this was really easy for them to use. We were able to put it together in no time and had no problem holding the weight of the pig we purchased. Also, the spit rotates just fine while plugged in! I wish it came with a pit but we were able to use an old metal bbq barrel and put it underneath for the hot coals. Will recommend to anyone wanting to roast meat, its not a bad price and its certainly durable enough!
