Awesome product!
The Titan Outdoor Open Fire Pit Roaster is a superb product! We roasted a 77 pound pig on New Year’s Eve and it held up for the almost eight hours it took to roast. It was very easy to assemble and disassemble after it cooled. Another advantage is that it took very little effort to clean. It is made of polished stainless steel that adds to its sturdiness and ease of cleaning. Storage has also been thought of as it comes with a small duffel bag for this purpose. The motor gave no issues either! We turned it on and it worked through the eight hours with ease. I recommend this product while heartedly! Would I buy it again? YES! I would even buy it as a gift.

Good cooking
Roasted a 90 lb pig no problem. Held up well. Need to weight down one leg. Also roasted a duck. Turned out great.

Nice product, works great.
A nice product that works really well. It is really substantial feeling, The main rod is made out of very thick stainless steel and it comes apart to make for easy cleaning. About the only complaint I can possibly think of is that the fork attachment is almost too wide for a small chicken, but then again it did work for me. I think this rotisserie is something I will use a lot in the future.

Great unit with some minor issues
Pretty sweet set-up for roasting a pig. First timer so here are my observations. The pigs turned out great, so lets start there. We roasted (2) 40 lbs. pigs and this set up was just the right size except that we had to cut 4" off of the back feet of the pigs. The spine "U" bolt was not long enough to close around the spine and the spit pole. So I suggest ordering a longer stainless "U" bolt right away. This one would accommodate 2.75in. with spine and pole clamped together. You need 3.5in. to make it work easily. An extra 0.75 inches is needed so total length between inside of "U" and end of threads need to be 3.5 minimum or 3.75in. would be better for larger pigs. The spit pole is ~1.00in. diameter and is really well made as well as stiff enough for the 40lbs. pigs. The motor turns at ~6 RPM and worked very well for the 6-7 hours we ran it next to the fire. It gets hot due to the fire but ran well. The stands bolted together easily. One stand had a mis-aligned hole at the base but still worked well. Seemed like a high quality set-up with some minor correctable issues. Definitly get an appropriately sized spine clamp. The feet and head clamps worked well.

Fortunately the event was a success but waisted over $100
I had high hopes for this since I was hosting a pig roast. Immediately when I assembled it I knew there were problems. First, the holes on the upright did not line up with the holes on the base but I figured I could correct thar myself with a drill. Second, the bolts that thread from the uprights to the base would not thread properly. I could get 2 out of 4 on each side to thread enough to mount but I wasn't sure it would be stable enough. The motor also didn't line up correctly when mounted on the upright creating friction causing the motor to work too hard. I also learned that a 80 lb pig was longer than this spit so I couldn't use the spit. I built everything else from scratch and thought I could at least use the motor. A motor rated for 90 lbs could not turn an 80 lb pig. I ended up not using a single part from this kit and piecemealed a spit with cinder blocks, a galvanized fence post, hardware and a hand crank. Fortunately the event was a success but waisted over $100. This thing might work for a small lamb, goat or suckling pig, but nothing over 40lbs.
