Product appeared to be damaged.
I am using the product and it seems to be working ok. When I opened it up, it appeared to have been used. The cord was not tied up as in a new product and the accessories package was a mess. The unit seems to have broken pieces ( like plastic) rolling around inside. Very disappointed in condition of product. Seems used.

Failed within first 10 months
This is a late review as I was so angry when the unit failed I didn't realize I never posted one, but I have to say I do not recommend. Power surges/outages are far too frequent here in Tampa so I purchased this unit to backup my office equipment and an APC 600VA to backup my family room equipment at the same time. Nine months later during a surge it completely failed and I lost a desktop, laptop and a extra monitor, while the APC performed beautifully. I was only using 6 or 7 of the 10 outlets at the time. The unit itself eventually powered back up but my equipment was completely fried. I bought this brand because it's what my company uses and I figured if it worked in the office it would be good in my home but I was apparently wrong. I will be buying APC from now on.

Don't lose power again
I added this UPS to my equipment that is feeding my wifi network, and it works beautifully. Our local power company seems to randomly kill the power for a few seconds on weekday mornings. This initiates a reboot on all of my equipment and kills my connections when I am working from home. I added this UPS to take care of that annoyance and it works exactly as I would expect. There is actually enough power in the battery to keep my network operational for 1 1/2 hours (according to the digital screen) which is plenty for the annoying outtages. I have a cable modem, my wifi router (ORBI), my vonage VOIP device, and two network devices plugged into the UPS side of the power bank. There are two minor annoyances with this device (not bad enough to lower my review) The first is that the battery backed up outlets are all on one side of the device and they are very close together. To get your devices plugged in you will probably need some kind of extension - I plugged another power strip into it - and all is good. The second is that when you lose power (as happened at 2am a few nights ago) there is a very annoying alarm - letting you know that the power is out. You need to go to the unit to silence the alarm - I would prefer to not have an alarm at all - or only sound the alarm if you have 10 min left in the battery.I have recommended this unit to friends and family alike as it is an awesome addition to my connected household.

Defective Out of the Box
We purchased thus UPS Backup device for home-office use for a desktop. Brand-new, the unit would shut off within 10 seconds of powering it on. Tech Support to troubleshoot the issue was not knowledgeable and eventually confirmed that the device was defective. I had not known the manufacturer, and in my view, this brand should be avoided. Stick with known brands. And certainly, stay away from this particular model. Not worth it at any price!
