Das Geschenk kam sehr gut an. Es ging an ein Mädchen, die sehr gerne Sport macht. leider gibt es da nicht genug Bücher, Ressourcen, Poster usw - da habe ich mich total gefreut, diese Buch zu finden. Für Mädchen, aber kein kitschiges rosa, seriös und wunderhübsch!

I bought this book for my 11 year old niece who plays competitive basketball, softball and volleyball. It's such an engaging book - with it's inspiring stories about female athletes to the beautifully colored pages and illustrations. I saw other reviews that is was lacking pictures, this isn't a picture book. It's more like short biographies of each athlete. I think if you want that sort of book, you need to choose a subject and do some research where you'll find more imagery. It's well written and also provides little facts about each one as well, pulling you into their story.

Got this (along with the science one) as a gift for my 10 y.o. niece and she really enjoys the stories and art. Great books to inspire and provide positive role models for young girls.

Some really impressive stories that will grip your children, regardless of whether they're boys or girls. Ideal bedtime stories. Interesting back stories to each athlete.
