Midnight for Charlie Bone

I just loved reading this children's series (I recommend for grade 4-6). The danger is always lurking, the dark forces are always busy trying to stop Charlie Bone from saving others and finding out the secrets being held. This is a series of 7 books. If you read one, you WILL want to read the series!

Bought this for my 9 year old son who is a reluctant reader. Great story telling, gripping and complex plot. Can be quite gothic and dark in parts - the baddies are pretty unpleasant - can see sensitive younger children getting quite scared particularly towards the end. Absolutely did the trick with my son, who, after a few nights of me reading the book to him, confessed one morning that he had stayed up with a torch to finish the book. Result!

First of all, the book is soundness, perfectly. ***** The story is great. And not a Harry Potter "copy" at all. Actually it's written years before Harry Potter. :) In the beginning Charlie find out that he can hear the voices of people at photgraphes. The story starts rolling when his "evil" grandma found out about it. short recap: - he has to go to a residental school, even if he doesn't want to because - his grandmother is screw out his mother consent - In the school he meets some people who are gonna get his friends, however - there are alot of kids and even teachers that tries to get 'em down, even try to kill them in the further books - He founds out that the evil family "Darkwood" kidnaped a girl and sold it and he tries to get it back because its also a student at the school. But thats not easy at all. - His father is dead. Well, that's what everyone is thinking, but is it true? Who knows.... - He founds out about the manipulations of his own family and some kids!!! and so on...it's full of great adventures and a good mix of sad, bad, happy and fantastic storys...The whole story is writen in 8 books...And I loves each page of all of them. READ IT. You will love every singel page of it. I can't discribe how great this book it. It's so hard to recap it because it's so full of things i just mention that I would actually have to write the whole book down here :) ***** READ IT... Or something is missing in you life.
