The best place to start your poker learning.This book provides all the foundational info you need. JLittle makes poker strategies easily understandable so you can implement your learning at the tables ! Highly recommended any of his work or content if your trying to understand the game of poker.

There's a lot to learn from this book and you'll probably have to through it more than once since it is very dense and it covers a lot of spots.. If you manage to do it your game will be vastly improved.. Be ware that some of the "meta" aspects are just a little outdated.

I guess you're browsing here it's because either you want to improve your poker, or you know someone who does. If so, this is a book you should purchase. However this advice comes with a proviso. You wouldn't buy a golfing advice book written by Tiger Woods and expect to win The Open, so don't expect this book to instantly transform your game. What I can say, is that if you're prepared to read, explore and think about the advice here, you are likely to enjoy some positive results (I certainly have).Jonathan is a natural teacher. Whilst he has achieved a huge amount of success in his own poker career he, appears to me, to get even more satisfaction from passing on his expertise to those that our keen to improve their game.This book will take you through each stage of the NL Hold-em game. From strategies pre-flop to how to defend against raisers on the turn and river. Each stage is explained thoroughly, so the reader not only understands what they should do but WHY they should do it.My advice is not to take this book on a relaxing holiday, unless you've got a patient partner. You need to read, re-read, and fully absorb the contents. You won't do this in a day or a week. Look at this as more of a study process.Quite simply for those that want to improve their game, this book will help you immensely.

Probably the best overall NLH new player guide. Still has great strategies & charts.

Outstanding book by Jonathan Little. In depth analysis of playing on all streets propelling yiur understanding of the game higher by a few levels. And so far the only poker book hammerin on and on this priceless advice: study away from the table. Jonathan Little certainly takes his students seriously trying to develop them beyond simply following a handful of tricks as most poker books do.
