You know, I purchased this out of curiosity to see what the Chiltepin chile tasted like. I wasn't really blown away by flavor. It does have some, and I like it, but it's pretty subtle. However, on a side note, I had been searching for a seedless crush red pepper for a long time. I just don't care for the texture of the seeds. I also like more heat than your average crushed red pepper. This fits the bill perfectly! I have not detected any seeds and it is much hotter. It is also not a powder like it says but very finely crushed. Like when you get to the bottom of your crushed red pepper container and it is not powdery, but very fine pieces. That was always my favorite part, and that is what this texture is like. I am glad I came across this. I hope it will always be available.

This is absolutely amazing. I cannot seem to find at my local stores, use with ceviche or any fruit. It doesn't have salt so it's not a tajin but def delicious and spicy

The hotness is not bad at all. I use it on soups, chicken, beef and even on scrambled eggs.

We love hot and spicy food here so we sprinkle this Chiltepin on our scrambled eggs, into our chili, in our cowboy beans and even on our pizza. Oh, and you have to try a sprinkle in your spaghetti sauce. Soooooo tasty! This is a VERY hot pepper powder so use a little, taste, and then add more if needed. A little really does go a long way. You only need a little sprinkle to really amp up your meals so this is a really economical seasoning. I also sprinkled a bit of this powder at the base of my boysenberry plants. After last week's snow, the wild rabbits were chopping off the branches at the base for a winter treat. One tiny sprinkle at the base of each plant sent my rabbit buddies elsewhere for their snacks. LOL If you love hot and spicy, you won't be disappointed with this Chiltepin powder. I absolutely love it! 5+ stars on this one. I hope this helps you.
