追記： 内容はほとんど同じですが、新しい翻訳版が出ています。紙が厚く文字がはっきりよみやすいため、新版をおすすめします。 https://amzn.to/2XjVazF残念なことに、日本語訳書と原書のレビューが混じっています。訳書は複数に分冊して発行する予定だったらしいですが、基礎編が出版されただけで、続きは出版されませんでした。原書は翻訳されている「基礎編」の２倍の内容です。残念なことに、基礎編に含まれている内容は、それ以前に翻訳されて出版されたリソ＆ハドソンの書籍と内容が重複する部分が多く、両著者のファンの方には目新しい内容が少ないかと思います。基礎編で訳出されていない部分こそ、原書の真髄です。９つのタイプごとに「心理的、精神的な成長」を促す方法について触れられています。翻訳でも一部は訳されていたと思いますが、気づきを促す短い実践がいくつも紹介されています。英語が読める方であれば、原書のThe wisdom of the Enneagram: The complete guide to psychological and spiritual growth for the nine personal types(https://amzn.to/2rlYJrj)をお読みになることを勧めます。日本のアマゾンからも、「ペーパーバック」を選べば、購入できるようです。心理学というより、精神的分野の言葉遣いが多少含まれています。それを除けば、辞書を引きながらでも理解できる英語です。（ただし、精神的分野の様々な概念を軽くでも理解していないと、読み取るのが難しい部分も含まれています。）

This used book was a gift for my brother. I told him it was used and if he wanted I'd be happy to order him a new one. He said the book looks brand new and he would never have known it was used if I hadn't told him. Also he received it in only a few days. He's VERY pleased and so am I!

Reading this book was eye-opening for me. This book is the most authoritative and objective source of information that I have found on the Enneagram yet. I read it cover to cover and shared it with family members and close friends who were blown away by the information in the book. It really does help you understand yourself like never before including your quirks, fears, and closeted shadows you are afraid to show to others. If you are interested in people and have a real desire to know and understand yourself better and would like a reliable system to help guide you in your discovery of yourself (and others), then this is the book for you.
