Dutch Windmill Speculaas (Spiced Cookies) (14 ounce)

Delicious and reminded me of my childhood. Can't always find tham at the grocery store. My Dutch friends here in the USA love them.

My husbands family is from Holland, and this is a favorite cookie for the family. It has a mild spice, and is delicious.

Very good flavor! Tastes just like Christmas! Not a one broken.

Cookies are somewhat bland tasting and I would say dry and powdery instead of crisp. There are no almond bits in the cookie. Received in a plastic bag instead of a cushioned box and about half the cookies were broken. I will not order these again.

Having tried other brands, this one rates very good. It is a little shy on taste but is not brick hard as some others. The package was adequate as no cookies were broken. A bit pricey, but worth it for the holiday season.

These are a lovely spicy confection.It is a delight to indulge in them with tea or coffee. It is a nice accent for ice cream as well, and I should think that a pie crust made out of crushed cookies would be excellent, indeed a special treat.

Perhaps for the American palate, these cookies are not sweet enough. I found them to be perfect in flavor and spice for a store bought cookie that compliments an afternoon tea break. I bought them to incorporate into a Graham cracker cake recipe. and I am confident they will be wonderful.
