concern about the threaded connection, rest all is good
i installed in camry 2005 and i had to buy hoses more for the installation, after installation the car idle silently and no vibrations. so it is worth installing. the threaded connection is a little tricky and prone for leake, otherwise easy installation.

Bien

Great cooler, and amazing results! About 40 degrees cooler!
Installed on a 2007 Suburban with 5.3L engine, and 4L60e transmission. Quick installation, and it made a huge difference! I should have installed this years ago. My tranny used to run at about 180-200 degrees, depending on outside temps, and speeds. If I was towing a trailer, and/or traveling at 80mph on highways with hill it would usually creep up to 215 or so, which always made me nervous. Since installing this cooler I have yet to see it go above 140! I’ll be towing a heavy camper late next week, and that’ll be the big test, but I’m pretty confident it’ll stay well below 200 for ever now. Great product!!!As a tip- the threaded connector it comes with does not fit the Chevy radiator. I used a Harf line cutter and a beveler to splice into the metal hard line, and create a beveled end to prevent leakage. Also- the kit comes with 4 feet of hose, which would not have been enough for my install unless I had curved the hose in a smaller arc than recommended. Go to the auto parts store and get amother 3 or 4 feet of 3/4 inch hose. Mine required about 3 feet for both in and out feeds.

Cools well need to get creative with better mounting
So far cools my 700r4 transmission 30-40 degrees better than just throught radiator. I didn't use the supplied push-ties. What i did use were existing holes in my radiator support to 12" mending plates, 5/16" bolts nuts washers, and 5/8 adel/cushion clamps on the cooler's coils. Ended up using 3ft of the supplied 4.5ft hose just to connect radiator return to bottom coil tube of cooler needed additional 4ft to route from top coil tube of cooler to return line to transmission. Used 2x female 1/4 npt 3/8 barb brass fittings to existing 1/4 npt brass couplers on my radiator return and transmission return lines.Tips for install:Use flare/line wrench to tighten supplied barbs to cooler tube nuts. Use a oil/high temp resistant teflon tape on the threadsBuy additional 4ft 11/32 transmission hose. Attach each to both barbs before mounting to avoid bending the tubes and to get good idea where to mount. I use dielectric grease to get hose to slide easier on barb. Not recommend to have tighter than 3" coil in hose.Buy some 5/8 or 3/4 heater hose to shield hose for areas of friction or puncture

Does not seem quality to me
Supplied fittings were too large to screw into oil cooler. There were also a couple cracks in the coating exposing bare metal. I would have just coated the bare spots but that combined with having fittings that did not fit made me nervous about the quality of this part. I returned it immediately.

Works
youll prob need other fittings (male to male ends) to go into the transmission lines. But this works great and was very easy to install. Noticed a temp drop in my 2010 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon's transmission.
