Works on 96 Ducati 900SS
I put new calipers, rotors and brake pads also flushed brake line on rear brake. I started to have a terrible brake noise coming from the rear brake, even after bedding them in. I used brake grease behind the pad, didn’t help, then crc brake squell, helped a little. Then I purchased these and cut them and placed on the bake of the pads, cleaned everything up and took bike out for a shakedown ride. To my surprise the noise stopped. Don’t ask why or how, but I don’t have drivers and pedestrians looking at me like my bike is falling apart when braking for a stop sign.

Either I was sent the wrong package, or the product description is incorrect
Either I was sent the wrong package, or the product description is incorrect. As stated in on the amazon web site under: Product information / Technical Details / Product Dimensions: it sates 7 x 5 x 0.1 Inches, and that would have worked for me. Unfortunately, the shim material I received in a package SBS GO AHEAD 9500-4 with label Part#17020033 measured only 3 x 1.5 inches. I did not open product to note thickness of the shim material per sheet. At that size shim was not large enough for my application, so I simple returned.

Quick, easy, and effective
I was skeptical, but on the recommendation of Robot from Scooterwest I cut these shims in half and applied a half to each rear brake pad of my noisy Aprilia Scarabeo 500ie. (I had cleaned the outer pad surfaces thoroughly with brake cleaner.) A couple squeezes of the brake lever to firm it up - and the squeal was gone. The rear brake pads are a hassle to get to, requiring removal of the muffler and the rear wheel, so I sure hope the noise stays away, but for as effective as these shims seem to be I wish I’d taken on the job sooner.

The Squeak is Gone!!!!!
I had a nasty squeak on my Harley Heritage. Bought new brake pads and the squeak was still there. Bought these shims and the squeak is gone, gone, gone. These rock so easy and cheap. Next time I replace the pads I will install these from the get go. Must buy for squeaky brakes.

I would have given 5 stars if they were bigger
I am extremely happy with this product, I put new drilled and slotted rotors and high performance ceramic pads on my 2011 Camaro 2SS and I was having terrible squealing, I did the break in process and all, but it still was obnoxiously loud. I would say 7.5/10 for the noise. It was only that loud at certain low brake pressure and very low speed, enough to embarress you when stopping at stop signs and pulling up to other cars. I tried everything in the books but it was still there. SO I decided to give these a shot and I am extremely happy, I have a little squeak, I would say 1/10 now. I am sure I would have no squeaks if these were bigger in size, they are very small for larger brake pads. I ended up cutting them to size and sticking them directly on the pads were the caliper pistons touch, along with putting stop squeak and some brake grease. I will definitely buy these again for every high performance brake job I do. Unfortunately i would have to buy 4 sets of these to fully cover all my pads which sucks incredibly. Also braking feels a lot smoother. Thanks for the good product but I could be great!

Functional, but don't believe the size in the product ...
Functional, but don't believe the size in the product details. These are not 7x5 inches, they're 3.25 by 1.5 inches...

Helped a little, not a remedy for brake squeal in my experience
Had brake squeal after my Chevy dealer did a brake job on my C6 Corvette and installed low-end metallic brake pads. Took it back to the dealer, they "cleaned" the brakes but they were squealing just as much when I drove it off their lot. (Getting my service done elsewhere from now on.) These brake shims helped maybe 50% but did not stop the squeal. I wouldn't use them again. Had to install high-end ceramic brake pads to remedy the problem completely.

Effective
I was skeptical that these shims would work. They seemed a bit too thin to provide any sort of effective barrier between the caliper piston and ceramic pads on my car. The brake pads (purchased elsewhere) came with their own rubber coated metal shims attached from the factory and still were squealing like pigs when braking at low speed. I put these shims on anyway and to my surprise they have completely eliminated the squeal. About five days / couple hundred miles of use and still no noise. If they hold up for even 6 months I'll use them again in the future.
