My daughter is 29.3/4in tall, is this short enough for her to use?

My grandson was 2 when he received his. He's turning 4 next week and he still loves it! Filling the gas, turning it on and off, the pull starter are all fun to use at any height/age. It's a great toy!

does the cord actually pull out like a real lawn mower ?

Yes, it does. However, the cord did break after a couple weeks of my son pulling it. (He was not very gentle) As long as your gentle it should last without any problems.

Have there been any updates made so the mower will roll on the grass?

I can't for sure if its been updated, however we've had no issues with the little one rolling the mower in the grass. Hope this helps.

Giocattolo che simula un vero rasaerba anche se, non essendo alimentato a batterie, il rumore prodotto non sembra quello di un motore essendo determinato dallo scatto delle ruote quando girano. Più realistica la modalità di accensione motore con la cordicella da tirare che fa il giusto rumore. Il serbatoio benzina è chiuso e anche il piccolo imbuto. Sarebbe stato carino poterlo riempire di acqua. Comunque gioco molto apprezzato dal piccolo di 2 anni cui è stato regalato
