They are pretend...don't cut at all.

It only makes noise doesn’t blow any air.

Q: How tall is the dryer, scissors and flat iron?

The flat iron is about 6” as well as the dryer. Scissors look very realistic and are about 3-4”. Dryer, once you add batteries, sounds like a real dryer. My daughter loves this set & I was very satisfied with the quality and price.

I don't remember how tall the dryer is however, everything is "life size" and actually work. My niece plays with it every day.
