Since this player is designed to work in a car/truck/rv it will most likely be used on a small screen.A “widescreen” movie will definitely benefit from the zoom mode available with this player.Unfortunately when the zoom mode is used the word “ZOOM” is displayed on the screen for the duration of the movie/video.Sorta stupid really…

A little early to write a review since I just installed. What I can say is that this is replacing a radio, dvd/CD unit in my RV. The last unit (another brand) only lasted two years. Since I never used the radio part, and only need a dvd player to connect to my TV, I thought I would give this a try. I'm not interested in spending a fortune on a unit I only use a few times a year, and thought that I might have better luck on a dedicated dvd player rather than a "jack of all trades". Remains to be seen. Meanwhile, it was very easy to install, fits the single din cut out in the RV perfectly, and plays well. The sound seems richer than the old unit, even though it is coming through the same amplifier and speaker system. All connections are clearly labeled almost making the instructions superfluous. The extended remote sensor is a nice feature. It comes with ample cord (I ended up securing the excess with a zip tie), so that you can mount it (with the supplied double sided tape) pretty much anywhere you want. This allows you to operate the player with the enclosed remote control even if you are not facing the unit. Especially nice because my TV swings out so you can watch from various places in the RV, but the dvd player is mounted in the wall. I simply mounted the sensor on the front of the TV so I can operate the player no matter what position the TV is in.

This replaced the DVD player in my Yukon with no modifications, didn’t even need to change the wires or hardware. Great product

It may not be clear from the description, but this unit is designed to be hardwired into the vehicle. It is not an adapter you just plug in.
