LEGODisney Pirates of the Caribbean Whitecap Bay (4194)

Lego Pirate
Was a little hesitant at first about buying a used set, but decided to try it. All the pieces were here and separated into bags. As my youngest son was building it, he came upon a broken piece. We were able to use some uv resin to put it back together and complete the kit.

Looks awesome, but fragile
This is a fairly good set. It was a lot of fun building it, although the main part did take a while. It has a lot of pieces and is overpriced and is not super big. I wish that it was easier to carry the set as the different parts are not connected that well. Whitecap Bay does look very, very, very cool when on display and can easily fit in with a collection of Pirates of the Carribbean, Pirates, Castle, or Lord of the Rings sets. If you like to get sets just for the pieces, Whitecap Bay is great.MINIFIGURES The minifigures are all good, especially the pirates. Philip and Scrum look the best.PLAY FUNCTIONS The net shooter is ok. There is a function where you can tip a barrel over and that works great. The searchlight works well too. However, the function where you tip the tower over makes the tower very unstable and fragile. A small push wrecks the whole thing. If you don't like this, you can adjust it slightly and remove the play function by removing 8 1x1 tiles from the tower. Then it is much better.Overall, this is a very good set. I do recommend it, as it looks fantastic and is fun to build and play with.

LEGO Building
I purchased the LEGO Whitecap Bay for my 6 year old son and we sat down together to piece it together. My son just wanted to play with the characters. But I really enjoyed building the different items. I think I enjoyed it more than my son. It is a little advanced for him to do on his own. But it is great for spending some quality time with him. Some of the pieces are tiny.

Licoln logs evolved into Legos.
Bought these for our 6 year old Grandson who is a "Lego Maniac". His father grew up on them and was just as enamored with them as his son. Me? I had lincoln logs. The only thing bad about Lego's nowadays is the price. Whew!

My son loved it!
We bought this for my 6-year-old son, who loves Legos and pirates, so it was perfect. Even though it says it's for ages 7 and up, my son had no trouble following the very clear instructions under our guidance. It took him about four sittings to put the whole thing together, so it extended the fun. I like how the pieces are organized in different bags and labeled in order so that you don't have to open everything at once. Only one piece was in the wrong bag. A gold bar that wasn't needed until bag two was in bag one, but it was really no problem. All the pieces were there and there are even a few extras of the smaller pieces.
