The design is excellent from the posh leather cover to the quality of the paper used. I tried writing on it & it didn’t bleed through. My favorite thing with this is the pocket at the back which is really great for people like me who keeps receipts. This is a good gift for any occasion.

Delivered on time and fast, came in a neat packaging. I love the look and feel of it! Great quality, the pages are nice and thick. I can finally use my fountain and gel pens without having it seep through to the opposite pages. I like the small pocket at the back! Will definitely buy again!

I ordered the XL (A4) Dartmouth green notebook: it is awesome! High quality. Excellent binding. Looks absolutely amazing. Paper is excellent - and works really well with fountain pens too. I use these type notebooks a lot and this is first time trying the Beechmore brand. It's my new favourite brand. The A4 size is perfect for my use, and I enjoy that the line rule isn't too narrow like other brands. The paper is perforated, so pages can be removed if desired. I don't know that I need that feature, but the perforations aren't noticeable ... so if you do not want to remove pages, that feature won't be a problem. If you are gifting this, it comes in a very nice box lined with tissue paper. Highly recommend!!

This is a lovely, well-made journal! I have been writing poetry for years and never wrote in a journal. Sometimes the best thoughts cannot wait, so I have written them down as they came to me....on little bits of scrap paper, on large and small Post-Its, on the back of receipts, on yellow legal pads and printer paper, etc. I decided it is time to get a proper journal, and this one is perfect for an excellent price.The leather is very good quality (I purchased the large size with a soft cover), and the size is ideal -- not too large and not too small. It is not precisely "stay flat", but if you bend it slightly, it can be....so you don't need to hold it down with one hand while writing. The soft-sided leather works well for this. I have more than one business portfolio with hard covers and never use them because they are too large and/or not comfortable to carry around. I know I will make good use of this one.The lined paper is nice, too, although I have an odd preference for grid paper (Beechmore: hint, hint ;) and would have liked to have had an option (choice) for that because the journal is not removable, as well as plain paper because I tend to "doodle as I think".The journal came in excellent and thoughtful packaging with the ribbon positioned so that it would be easy to remove it from the box. Having said that, I put the journal back in the box after I removed the tissue paper, and it took several minutes to get it out! I even turned the box upside down, and that didn't help. In the end, I was able to remove it from the box using a cheese spreader. Beechmore: Having your rigid boxes made with a small half-moon-shaped cut-out on the long sides will make it easier to remove the lid in this instance.Although I probably will not use the elastic band affixed to the back cover, I know I will use the ribbon. It is nice having both, however. Having said all of this, the journal will get good use from me and make an excellent gift.
