This ULANZI light is better than I expected. The brightness is very strong for such a small light, and it works great for both video and photography. It matches the specifications perfectly and gives a clean, even light. The RGB modes are a nice bonus and add a lot of flexibility for different setups. Solid build quality and very easy to use. I’m really happy with this purchase.

This is a great little light that has some cool features packed into it. It has a huge range of colors, temperature and brightness. Great for vlogging or using as a key light. Small and lightweight makes it great for travel. There are cold shoe mounts on three sides of the light so you can mount other accessories or even create a light panel with multiple lights. The battery life is pretty good as well.

The first thing you should know, this isn't very bright. It is great for providing fill illumination out to maybe a meter, maybe even 2m in some instances, but basically we're talking about closeup photography. As long as that's not a problem for you, it is highly adjustable in color temperature and brightness, light and compact, easy to recharge, and reasonably priced.

The ULANZI VL49 RGB is surprisingly bright for its size. At 2000 mAh, it's bright enough to use as a full light when Vlogging but also surprisingly effective at adding a pop of color to an existing scene or the background. Its ability to set the light temperature from warm to cool, and then full RGB, and all the colors make this incredibly versatile for its size. Super small and lightweight and I like the fact that the power button is recessed a bit and has to slide on instead of pressing it, so you can't accidentally or easily turn it on in a bag. You're not going to get studio quality color accuracy from this but it's surprisingly in the ballpark for what it's intended for. The USB-C charge port on the back makes it very convenient and the fact that it can be mounted in both a cold shoe or a 1/4 20 mount makes it very versatile. I have ended up using this much more than I thought I would as a fill or background color light.

This is one of the best purchases I have ever made. It fits right on top of the hood of my camera, but it's useful for other things as well. Anywhere a light is needed! It provides the perfect amount of light for live streaming. No external power source is needed, because it charges up. The charge lasts for a really long time. The light itself has a lot of amazing settings. It fits really nicely in my camera bag. It could also fit nicely in your desk drawer or a purse. It's pretty sturdy, and it can likely survive in a backpack. You can pull this out whenever you need it. Like for a voice call. It's so much nicer than a halo light because like I said, it charges. You can place it anywhere on your desk. On the laptop itself. No cumbersome wires. One can also place it onto a tripod, but it doesn't need one. It stands up fine by itself. I like that it has the bright studio light setting, but two warmer toned white light settings that I can use a well.

The ULANZI VL49 RGB lights are awesome! We use them for outdoor live streaming, vlogs, and quick ad-hoc interviews, and they’ve been a total lifesaver. The size makes them super portable, but don’t let that fool you – they’re bright and the 360° full-color options give you tons of creative flexibility. Battery life is solid, and the build feels sturdy for something so lightweight. The RGB effects really help set the mood, and being able to tweak brightness and color on the fly is perfect for content creators. If you need affordable, portable lights that punch above their weight, these are a no-brainer. Highly recommended!

these things are great! for $18 each, everyone should have a handful of them. simple controls for color that can get you pretty much whatever you want. lightweight and should not tax any arm used to hold them. small enough to tuck into a corner and hide from the lens. easy and cheap...too bad most photography products are neither. i cannot yet account for battery life or life in general, but, for the cost, i will take whatever service they give me.

Can be used as a back light or main light for shooting videos. Even used for on a building site. Many uses for this little(but powerful) light.

Cool little light. Being able to change the colour to a specific degree so that you can replicate it again for future projects is a very nice feature. Easy to use, magnetic and tripod mountable makes this little light and awesome prop to enhance your projects. The battery also lasts a decent amount of time. Great for small product photography as well. For the money, it's a great buy.
