Durable and works
Honestly its a good camera. My car sits outside and is exposed to the cold and high heat weather. Im suprised the camera survived the 90+ degree weather for months without dying. Even after that, there was a crash in front of me on the freeway and I was able to review the footage. My car got stolen along with the camera so I am buying this again.

Great clarity
This is my second purchase of this camera, for my newest vehicle. Easy to use, easy to set up. The picture clarity is sharp both on the camera's screen as well as what gets recorded.

On the Road Again
This Car Cam is so easy to operate. I have not used it my car yet, but figuring out things at home is the key to me learning before I get on the road with it. I recommend this camera very highly especially the cost.

Bought 2 and BOTH stopped working 1 day of each other.
Very unhappy with these 2 cameras. I purchased them 5 weeks ago and within 1 day of each other, they BOTH stopped working. I followed their troubleshooting in the book and on Amazon's website and nothing helps. Several of the troubleshooting topics is about the card in the camera.I re-formatted both camera's cards and they worked for about 1+ days, then shut off again; BOTH cameras. Each time I start the cameras they turn themselves off. I shouldn't have to re-format cards daily.Well, I just reformatted one of the cards again (for the 3rd time) and now it's complete dead, although there is a red and a blue light, I am unable to get it into the menu mode while plugged into my PC, or the vehicle. I did charge the cameras per the instructions for 2 hours (plugged into my PC.)Amazon/vendor only warranties these cameras for 4 weeks (30 days.) A camera should last more than 5 weeks in prime conditions. After submitting my 1 star review. I was contacted by the shop owner who has refunded my money. If you want to take a chance on your cameras working properly, which I believe is a software/card related issue. Buy a new memory card and put it into the camera. I tried this with one of the cameras and so far it's working (about 3 weeks thus far.)

I'm using it, but mount stability issue, slow clock; see my workaround for hanging .avi's, bad GUI
Update, Sep 2024 - it's still working fine, still wobbly on its mount, but the suction cup has only fallen off the windshield a couple times - car was parked in direct sunlight on hot days (above 95F/35C outside). For best results, clean the glass and the suction cup before mounting, just like any other suction mount.Original review, edited for clarity only, or where [noted]:I'm OK with this dashcam, especially for the price. It's an upgrade in resolution and viewing angle from my previous 10-year old cheapo webcam. My complaints, beginning with the worst issues and their workarounds:-Using the supplied SanDisk (C-10 rated) mini 32GB SD card, the .AVI video files it produces at highest resolution can hang randomly if you view them with Media Player on Win 11. Solve this by installing the excellent open-source (and multi-OS) VLC Media Player from Vetinari on your laptop/PC instead. (Yes, I used the cam to reformat the SD card a couple times. Doesn't fix the issue) Not interested in trying lower resolutions.-The mount won't tighten enough to keep cam steady if I touch it gently or if want to press a control button. I have to re-point the cam manually every time. At least it doesn't wobble when I hit a bump. This may be a random issue just with my mount. The threaded connecting screw is smaller than the "thicker" standard camera tripod mount, so I can't try the other windshield mounts I have lying around. Mount uses a normal suction cup.-Battery can't keep accurate time when car's powered off. Cam's clock will lose minutes in a couple days. And there seems to be no way to turn off timestamp from displaying, so it's always there and (increasingly) wrong. But other cheapish, non-GPS dashcams I've tried also have clock inaccuracy, so oh well.-The user interface is arcane. This is also a problem with other cheapish dashcams. Don't expect otherwise. It took me an hour goofing around with the cam and the user booklet to understand the commands and menus. I'll have forgotten everything soon. [note from 2024: I did forget everything. Fast. But these things are set-and-forget, so it doesn't really matter. I've never needed to do playback on the cam's own screen - I just pop out the storage card and read it on another device. And there's really no point in resetting the clock - see above. So I can ignore the menu system.]Uses an old-style "mini B (5-pin)" USB power connector (look it up) and will run from any USB adapter that provides 1500 mA at 5vDC (that's most of them). Ships with a bulky cigarette lighter/accessory socket adapter. Substitute your own, smaller adapter.-Features I have not tried:You can apparently connect a proprietary second, wired camera (not included). Their idea is that you connect it to a power lead on one of your back-up lamps, so it comes on only when you're in reverse. No idea what that recording is supposed to look like.Audio recording. No thanks.Snapshot camera emulation. Why? I have a phone for that.[New section, Sep 2024:-I like that when the car turns on and the cam powers up from the cigarette lighter/accessory socket, the bright built-in LCD screen displays what the camera's recording for 2 or 3 minutes. This is enough time to get the car started and underway, then later tweak the cam's point of aim that gets out of whack due to the wiggly ball-mount, as described above]
