Cute and happy set - but would like more pigment/Lightfastness info
I have quite a large collection of some of the more expensive artist grade paints - Daniel Smith, Winsor and Newton, Mijello mission gold single pigments... But there is something about this little set that just makes me smile every time I look at it and when I think about it. It’s playful colour selection reminds me (in a very good way) of a child’s paint set, bright happy colours, easy to use, nothing too hard to think about. But the pigments painted out on initial testing just as well as any other high quality watercolours. The pigments were not super saturated, but I really enjoyed their more subtle tones. The colour wheel I was able to create was beautiful and the colours mix well together and did not make mud. I only knocked off one star as I was not able to find out any pigment or lightfast info, and I did contact Schpirrer Farben through their FB site on a few occasions with no answer, so I’m reluctant to use it on any paintings that may be displayed on a wall until I find out about lightfastness. However, as a quick, easy, portable travel sketching set in a sketchbook, this would be perfect.I look forward to trying these paints out more thoroughly in future

Fun, but not Enough Information to call them Artist Quality
This is a fun little set. The paints are creamy and vibrant. The only thing that bothers me is the lack of information. I can't find the light fastness ratings or pigment information anywhere. Saying paint is artist grade and full of pigment isn't enough. I'll use these for my field studies and to play around with, but I'm afraid to use them in anything I sell or gift. If you looking for something to play with these are fantastic, but be careful (unless you can find more information) about selling or gifting your painting to someone.

Shady price drop rubs me the wrong way
EDIT: As you can see I gave this a great review. But the fact that I paid $26 plus tax and now I happen to see the price difference, I am so angry and feel ripped off. Wouldn't you want to offer a good price to the first few customers buying your product? Because it's in part my review that got you more sales! This is a RIDICULOUS price difference, one I've frankly never seen on Amazon. It's not even a sale. You just ripped me off. Not cool. I did wonder about the price since they seem to be the same as Prima which are better priced, but I liked the color selection here. This is crazy. I'm so mad. I was new to watercolors and now I actually have a few sets. I paid $13 for both and they are great. I never use this one now since I got my other one. And here you've decided that it was fair to take $12 more from me. Shady. I still like the color selection, but this stuff matters because it says a lot about how people do business. I'm disgusted. I got my Kuretake 36 Color for $27! Those paints are top and tons more colors. I got this set to have a more traditional set, but they aren't even close to the quality of Kuretake. Not worth it. At the current price, yes. But the seller ripped me off and I think it's a terrible way to do business.I feel so lucky to have found this set! It’s the perfect set with all the colors you need and can be mixed to make virtually all you’ll need! Excellent quality, sweet little reusable tin. I’m just super impressed. I have no info to go on about this set, but it looks so much like other popular, well made and expensive sets that they could be made at the same manufacturer (Davenport, Prima), so I took a chance and I’m thrilled. I was frustrated that the other similar sets have them in color themes and not just basics that you need to accomplish any type of project. This is the dream set I have wanted, and no color themed so you have to buy several to get what you need. All the right colors are here. The first three colors are the three colors you need to mix any color needed. Boom! And the rest are colors that most people would need and want in a set. It's a true basics set. It's cute, handy, travels well. I'm really in love. I do have another set that ha a more themed color palette and this set complements other sets perfectly. If you like a set that has an artist in mind with all you'll need, and you are overwhelmed by the endless sets, lots of colors that look the same... this set is a win. I also personally love the style of this set, the little tin with individual half pans that you can move around and even customize if you wish to add more colors. Tin is reusable and can fit more pans. Either some in the middle orctake out the tracks and fill in another row. But I love the way the holders keep them in place and I enjoy having my two sets out and next to each other. This will be a staple I will reach for most often! It's plenty great for a more advanced Mixed Media artist like me and also great for beginners. The price was worth it to me as soon as I got it and could see for myself. The only thing that might bother some people is that there is no lightfast or pigment info on the paints themselves. They are quality as far as from working with them, but there's nothing that came with them telling you lightfast, but I personally don't care because I am using them in mixed media journaling and I do not plan on having my artwork in sunny areas or anything like that. I doubt professional water colorists are out looking for these so I'm ot concerned, but some research would need to be done to find that out. I'm super happy with them.

Good pigment
The colors have good pigments and they blend well. Overall it’s a good value for the price.
