Color matches
I had previously purchased the Elmer's (non-Probond) wood filler in "walnut" which is way too light. This is dark like walnut should be and matches my color. I wish this could be a little more malleable. It goes on and get immediately crumbly.

Walnut colored wood filler! Just what I was looking for
I had some squirrels chewing on my deck railing, so I wanted to get some wood filler that would reasonably match my deck so I could cover the damage till I can fix it properly in the spring. This was very easy to work with. Some people complain they can’t get it out of the container. You just have to cut enough of the tip off to allow it to flow easily. I do not see a problem there at all. The color matched the Russet color of our deck stain perfectly. I used a wood hardener and after that dried I filled the damaged area. I was not working in perfect conditions since it’s winter. The temps got into the high 40s the other day so I thought it was the best chance I could get. The wood was dry so the timing was right. This was very easy to work with. I’ve used similar products before but without the color. This worked the same. You have to fill in a little let it dry and then add another layer. For a small hole you can do it in one step. In my case the squirrels left a gaping hole so I did the best I could. I doubt it’s a permanent fix but in spring I can remove some of this and refill it, sand and paint it. For my purposes the Elmers Probond worked well. Hopefully the squirrels will find something else to chew on! thanks for reading my review Becky Brooks

Good Wood Filler
I mixed this walnut color with the standard natural color Elmer's to get a lighter tan color hole filler. Worked well. Filler shrinks a little upon drying so have to do two mixes and two applications for a flat hole repair. They should sell a two smaller tubes together for this mixing purpose.

Great Product!
I have used this product in the past but it has been getting harder to find on the shelf in the bricks and mortars. I ordered this for a repair I was working on and it arrived the next day. Great product and great service. The home owner was really impressed with the final repair.

You need this!
I bought a couple of tubes of this filler, the dark walnut and the natural. I've used wood filler from those little tubs, and it worked fine, but resealing those little tubs didn't always work well so you sometimes ended up with a dried up rock on your second or third use. These tubes fix all that! Plus they let you put a bead of filler wherever you need it instead of globbing on a chunk and smearing it all over, making a mess. I won't buy any more filler that isn't in a handy tube!

Impossible to squeeze out!
This was nearly impossible to squeeze out of the tube. I massaged it for a long time, cut the neck where indicated and could not get it out. Ended up cutting half way up the tube neck and (literally) had to put all my weight on it to get it out. It did clean up with just water, which was a plus. But a total pain in the neck over all.
