Worked great on my GoPro Hero 9 Black. With the right settings you can get real professional quality cinematic style close up details with this macro filter. Every tiny detail whether you are filming fruit, plant life, water, or even skin shows up super clear. I filmed my own face and saw details on my skin I didn't even know I had or could see with my own eyes lol. Highly recommend if you plan on filming things up close and want to blur out the background and enhance what you're focusing on especially in 4-5K. The people who said it didn't fit, no clue what they are even talking about. Fit fine for me right off the bat. Keep in mind I used a Hero 9 Black. Not sure if it's even meant for any other models or if that's why it didn't fit for the other guy. Well worth the price if you are really into filming for GoPro!

Dies what you'd expect: you can get the men's as close as 4 or 5 inches away from an object and gets a crisp shot. Background is blurry, which is nice. There aren't many lenses available for the gopro so anything is important. Realistically it's max lense mod and this.

Forty years ago I was a keen amateur photographer and I paid over $100 for a macro lens. They cost over $400 now. So for $40, I wasn't expecting anything brilliant. This lens is pretty much what I was expecting.It comes in a good, reusable case which is really important. Swapping the lens with the standard one is very easy - rotate 45 degrees and the old one comes out. Reverse the process to attach the macro. It's a good fit with no sloppiness. Perfect alignment is essential with all lenses - doubly so with macro lenses.The optical quality is good. See the attached photo. You can see the standard lens cannot focus on anything closer than 12". The macro lens focuses up to 2.5". It's not the 1" focal length your $400 macro lens can achieve, but it will let you get close up shots of flowers and insects and stuff like that.I'm not sure what the 15x is supposed to refer to. It lets you get 5x closer.

Out standing product just getting started with the item but so far I think I will get a lot of joy with the lens

I appreciate having a lens I can use with my GoPro Hero 11. I didn't realize I can replace the lens on GoPro and there are a lot of lens accessories out there. The lenses made by GoPro should be a lot more high quality, but this one works just fine, as long as you only want to be able to take close up pictures with your GoPro. The middle part of the picture should be clear, but expect it to be blurry and out of alignment all round on the edge. An average good lens to have with your GoPro and expand the use of the camera

Buyers beware! This is NOT a true macro lens and is NOT actually 15x.. More realistically about 0.5x.. The difference between this lens and the stock lens is nearly undetectable. Sure, there's a very, VERY slight change in the focal distance, but its incomparable to the original lens and definitely does not justify spending $40. A waste of money in my opinion.

I didn’t expect much out of this at first. I bought it as a starting point and would move on to something better in the future. But I am surprised with this and will definitely stick with it.The build quality is great. I would say it has a very similar build as the standard GoPro lens. The feel of it is good and doesn’t feel flimsy. It also fits on my hero 9 just like the standard lens. It feels very snug on the camera and is as easy to put on/take off as the regular lens and allows me to get closer to subjects than the normal lens and get clearer pictures/video.Remember this is a macro lens, not a zoom lens. Think of it as a magnifying glass. Experienced photographers will probably know this but I’m just giving a little heads up to those who may not know the difference.
