Wonderful!
I’d buy this again in a heartbeat. My 8 year old daughter was focused on it for hours, and had an absolute blast getting it ready. This review is only after day one, we’ll update in a few to see if it works.Quality of Directions: As a school teacher, I am keen on clear, simple instructions. These are clear for the most part with exception to page 5, where if you begin working the tasks in order, you end up being sent to page 14, only to find out that you’ve already done the steps from page 5 incorrectly…. #annoying. It was a fairly simple fix, but irritating none the less.Content: This kit is engaging, tactile, and full of great content. My daughter was totally into all the information about space, and how the scaled up version of this kit is how we plan to colonize Mars. Aside from the space colonization and sustainable life aspect, this kit has great content for growing plants, interesting facts that are relevant, and requires your kid to follow lots of hands on tasks. There was only one setback from this kit. It doesn’t come with any seeds. That’s probably in the description, and it is printed in the box as well, I just missed it. Either way though - no seeds in a seed growing kit…. So be sure you also pickup some seeds to go with this when you buy it.

Mars Mini Experience
The Mars Greenhouse Cloning Kit is wonderful is wonderful for our homeschooled kiddos! It’s a great way to integrate labs/activities that are engaging and fun with tons of experiments for meaningful learning experiences. The components within the kit are of great quality and durability and the booklet that is included has clear and concise directions for the individual experiments. With this one kit, there are several experiments that can be conducted which definitely allows you to get your money’s worth! Also, the Playz customer support folks are phenomenally responsive and friendly and it’s a privilege to be able to support small businesses like Playz! Highly recommended for the product and for the company!

Great Product, Poor Instructions
Our son was enthusiastic to start this kit as soon as he got it. The experiments are applicable, interesting, and easily doable. The parts are sturdy enough and the overall concept is engaging. Don't forget to pick up a packet of seeds to include with the gift as Federal Law doesn't allow them to send you a packet. However, the instructions were lacking in quality and direction. Asking kids to flip back and forth across 5 pages for assembly instructions, not fully labeling all parts, and not highlighting important details (like reserving half the sand before adding other ingredients) caused a lot of angst. Ensure you, the adult, FULLY read all the instructions and sit with your kid while they start the kit.

Innovative, well designed kit, seeds need to be purchased separately.
I bought Playz Mars Greenhouse Cloning Kids Science Kit for my granddaughter's 7 year old birthday this January. Text on the outside of the box kindly told me the kit does not include seeds. Mung beans, cress, wheat, radishes, or any other fast growing edible sprouting plants were suggested. My granddaughter had already grown radishes this past summer. I decided upon both Oat grass and Wheatgrass because cats love to eat these grasses. They both sprout in the dark and grow quickly; Both are winter hardy which means the kit could be set out winter sun. As you seen Buttercup the kitten tasted the final product and gave it a thumbs Granddaugther took this picture. She very much enjoyed growing 'Martian' grass for her kitten

Too Wet
We had trouble with the soil flooding and getting too wet every time we added water or nutrient water to the tank, even after following all the suggested tips. The water crystals expanded so much there was no room for the seeds to germinate. We were excited about all the different types of experiments and the overall concept. Not sure if we will have enough plant growth to do the CO2 experiment.

Great product so far
So far it’s a great product!! My 11 year is very into science experiments and wants to do stuff on her own and she was able to get it started by herself with very little instruction. It does not come with seeds but that’s no big deal as they are inexpensive, you could even use an potato that’s starting to sprout.Update: Seeds are sprouting!

Such a shame...
The idea is great and could be lots of fun learning to be had but, the material that this comes with for the dome is terrible. It is a somewhat firm plastic that comes rolled up with tabs on one end you place into the other end. Every time you try to connect the tabs it wants to snap back tight to its roll and once you do get it in the tabs it will not hold its shape no matter what. It squishes to an oblong shape and adding the lid wont hold it because you can never get it to set in around the container area with out it moving every which way. This is priced a bit high for that to be the part used for the dome. It is so frustrating and without the dome defeats part of the experiment.

Awesome Kit!
We loved this kit for our kindergartener. It was great to talk about the different elements of an ecosystem, and he was super into it!
