Tiny but punchy
Thin mesh node. Perfect for tight spaces especially in crowded rack. Use it as main node connected to ISP router. Easy setup via deco app. Recommended

waste of money
Trash.... don't waste your money, you'll get a bad signal unless you are connecting to the main deco (which is connected via ethernet to the modem), so don't waste your money on this product. the signal from the modem directly is way better than through the deco.

Good Solution to extend connectivity without cables
Been using it for a year now.. connectivity is stable but 5Ghz range is extremely poor.. even in a 1300 sq ft house (2BED), 3 units donot cover fully... 2.4Ghz is useless and extremely slow so 5Ghz is the only option.. I may add 2 more nodes for proper coverage across the whole house which is an overkill!!3.5 stars.---Been using it for few months now, Wi Fi setup has been mostly stable---Deco M5 package comes with 3 units, all 3 units have two RJ45 ports port on the same bridge means both ports can either connect using cables to a LAN network or WAN network, not both, as both those ports are part of the same bride (Layer2 domain). One common SSID for both 2.4 and 5Ghz. Additionally Guest SSID is possible.Transfer speed:If the WAN connection is terminated say on Unit1, and endpoints are connected to Unit1, you can attain full speed on endpoints using 5Ghz ; and say Unit3 is wirelessly connected to Unit1 via Unit2 (transit), we can get a transfer speed of 80Mbps on endpoints connected on Unit3 on 5Ghz. Speed on Unit2 endpoints is in between 80 to 300Mbps.Speed on 2.4Ghz is extremely slow, around 30-40Mbps!Switchover between unit1, 2 and 3 is automatic, even switchover between 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz is automatic. If your endpoint is around the boundary of 5Ghz signal range, Deco keeps switching between units and GHz which can be troublesome. If you need a cabled connection on your LAN along with WIFI, you'll need additional router which has both LAN and WAN ports, DECO M5 alone can't provide "cabled" LAN and WAN at the same due to the type of ports (bridged) it has..
