Does this replace the baby crib?

I've used a very similar pack and play bassinet for my baby. They stayed in the top bassinet until they started sitting on their own, and then used the bottom as their bed until they were 18 months to 2 years old before we transitioned them to a crib. We got a convertible crib that turns into a big kid bed. Doing exactly the same thing now with baby #2. I just ordered this bassinet for them. It's the easiest, safest, and most cost effective way to do things in my opinion. I really did consider other options but this is just the best thing I can think of.
