So this is liposomal vitamin c in capsules?Or does it just incorporate liposomal technology?

What a fascinating thread. LivOn has been around for a long time and certainly knows their liposomals. However, I wonder about the addition of "alcohol" as a preservative. No mention of what type of alcohol - cetyl alcohol or the more benign grain alcohol? It's crazy expensive too. So I checked out Lookingvibrant.com as recommended by a pervious comment here and it's a liquid form which is more like the DIY versions of liposomal vitamin C. However, this brand adds glycerine and potassium sorbate, both questionable additives that are best avoided, especially on a daily basis. This is also very expensive. It seems the best form of liposomal vitamin C (and far and away the cheapest!) is to make it yourself. I've never done this but it seems pretty straight forward: dissolve lecithin and ascorbic acid (or a healthier natural form of real vitamin C like camu, camu) into distilled water and heat and mix in an ultrasonic cleaner - or even just a Blender. Is it dervied from corn? Most vitamin C's are, and they don't have to list corn.

To say that it (LivonLabs' sodium ascorbate) has not been demonstrated to be more bioavailable than 'ordinary' vitamin C is untrue.It has produced much higher plasma levels that rival IV ascorbate according to both Hickey and Levy.I also disagree totally with others who state that sodium ascorbate does not have two reducing electrons. It most definitely has two, as does ascorbic acid.The origin of the ascorbate is unimportant. Glyphosate is not a problem.People who want GM free ascorbate or GM free liposomal may believe and feel there is a benefit but ascorbate counters Glyphosate toxicity.(Gehin et al. Int. J. The pill looks like the powder inside melted a little, is this normal?

Well I didn't experience that,I have being using this brand for almost 3 years now.I guess you should find out why it melted

This is an answer from a Medical doctor. Regular Vit C has very limited absorption. It is not lipophilic which means it has to use a transporter to be absorbed into the body. Liposomal means its lipophilic and can be absorbed straight through the intestinal wall. This is therefore similar to IV. You will get the effect that Linus Pauling reported back in the 1950s. This will clean out your arteries if you dose it hight enough. Good luck.
