The tube us made of about 50 individual LEDs. Together they make light that looks natural. It is sort of like being outside on a sunny day without the heat. There is no longer the background hum sound. They turn on instantly. It's good to know they will last for decades and maybe longer than me which is sad in a way. I have 16 more 4 foot florescents around my condo. As either the bulbs or ballasts wear out I will do the wiring to use these ballast bypass bulbs. The ballasts can use about the same amount of power as the bulbs. That power is wastes as heat energy. Hire an experienced electrician of you do not feel comfortable doing the re wire on your own. At least watch the electrician change one fixture so you know how to do the rest.

Besides being an energy saver, the light output is much better than the fluorescents that they replaced. The price was the best I could find. Thanks for the quick shipping and great product!!!!

I need these to replace failed fluorescent bulbs in a fixture. No main complaints. I only would have wished that these were a tad brighter but am satisfied with the product overall. Would I buy them again? Sure.

The light is brighter than my old florescent tubes, and my electrical handyman husband said it was easy to install them without taking out our old ballasts (may not be the case in your situation) so easy peasy and hope they last as long as they say they should!

These are so bright and illuminates the whole kitchen. No more fluorescent bulbs that take a while to come on.👍🏻

Bought these bulbs to replace an old fixture. Going to be remodel kitchen and didn't want to replace light fixture till then. So, I've been going through fluorescent bulbs in this unit for some reason. Friend told be about these bulbs and glad he did. No more flickering, humming and no more changing out bulbs anymore. The directions where spot on and pretty easy for someone with no electrical training. Very straight forward and to the point. Think it took me 20-30 minutes, only because I didn't want to rush and make a mistake. Very happy with my purchase and will be using these bulbs for any other old fixtures in the future. Thanks

All four light bulbs seem to stop working when left on for 30 minutes or more. They stay off for about 10 minutes and then come back on.

Prior to a resent remodel, the previous owner had old halogen lights in the primary closet and laundry room. They had started to flicker on and off so I decided to upgrade to led. I didn't realize how dim the halogen bulbs were until these leds were installed. I can actually see in my closet and laundry room now with this clear crisp bright white.They were packaged well and arrived on time. Fortunately no issues during installation, they fit right in. Installed 3 in less than 15 minutes, I had to find my step stool first. Very happy with the results and now I can see in spaces that were previously not well lit.I can't speak to the longevity yet!
