Q: Are these magnets on the backside strong? Will they resist vibrations?

Yes, very strong. I have it inside my fuel door behind the cap & it stays without being dislodged. I’m not sure I’d trust it just on the outside of my vehicle, but might after getting some experience with it.

Q: Will a pt cruiser key completely fit in this key holder? the key has been to large for holders from home depot.

The JUMBO measurements are show on one of the listing images - check your key against that and make sure to order the JUMBO IF IT FITS it would be that one since it is the largest.
