NOT vacuum packed!
Needed lining for a bucket to go around my professional mic for reducing reverb. I purchased some tiles of the pyramidal foam, but they were vacuum-packed, and never regained their shape, even with application of a hair dryer. So I got this roll instead. Fairly easy to cut, even though the backing is good tough rubber, and it lined my bucket well. Does the job; the recording are nice and quiet with no reverb or background noise.I was asked to rate 'adhesion' but this isn't sticky at all - there's no peel-off backing! I used grip fill adhesive and so far it's holding.

it's ok
Very small mat , not easy to fix - you will need your own glue or tape, not v effective either

A good sound deadening so;ution
This foam was bought to reduce the amount of sound coming through trickle flow vents in modern double glazing units. This foam appears to work quite well, but it only reduces the sound by about 50% compared to double glazing installed to older homes without trickle flow vents. Don't forget, if you have an old house that doesn't have trickle flow vents (not sure of the date when new homes had to have trickle flow vents), you don't have to replace them with double glazing that has trickle flow vents.

Made no audible difference.
Fitted inside of the door covering noisy kitchen boiler, made no difference as far as I could hear, returned.

Bit costly for what it is...
It's ok.. foam stuck to. Rubbery backing.. I purchased this to surround an eberspacher (diesel night heater) I have installed on the inside of the box the eberspacher is mounted in, honestly I can't really hear any reduction in the noise level.. may work better for different frequencies.

It does what it's supposed to do and then some.
I have a sewing/embroidery machine that I use in a room over the lounge. It's capable of fast speeds and makes a noise through the floor into the lounge and it drove my husband mad. We tried everything, or so we thought and then I found BXI Double Noise Insulation Soundproofing Foam. I thought, "What have I got to lose?" My husband was more sceptical as I am known for being seduced by products that sound brilliant but never live up to my expectations. This item was £19.99 so worst case scenario I'd have to package it all up and send it back. So it arrived, my husband opened the bag it was in and had this haughty look on his face that told me he thought I'd bought rubbish again. Oh he of little faith! I placed the foam pad under my my machine and fired it up. At full speed when it causes the most noise downstairs there was...silence. My £19.99 purchase was a success. My machine is even more quite in the room and I don't have to wear headphones to listen to the TV. Best £19.99 I've ever spent.
