Plastic Pots for Plants, Cuttings & Seedlings, 4-Inch, 30-Pack (Black)

These are actually 3 & 1/4 inch pots that are also significantly shorter than standard 4 inch pots.
I read the reviews complaining about the small size of these "4 inch" pots but gambled that they'd still be OK for transplanting orchids from old, broken down 4 inch pots. WELL, THEY'RE NOT OK. THEY ARE NOT 4" POTS. They are 3 &1/4 inch pots which are "vertically challenged" as well. If you're transplanting from other 4 inch pots, you need to look elsewhere. (If you're just planting seedlings you might be OK for a while.) Are they really saving that much money in production costs?! Just make your "4 inch pots" the standard size! Businesses that cheat their customers don't stay in business very long!

Standard, not azalea pots.
When I ordered these, I thought I was ordering azalea pots, but when they arrived I realized they were standard pots. The difference is that with standard pots the height is equal to the diameter. With Azalea pots the height is only 3/4 of the diameter. Since I specialize in growing cacti and succulents, which have shallow root systems, I prefer azalea pots. Since many house plants have deeper roots, I made no complaint and kept the pots, figuring that, sooner or later I would use them. After eight months, I find that I only have one left unused, so it's time to order more. (It's time to order more Azalea pots, too, since I'm also running of them.) What I most like about these pots is that they come in terra cotta color. Terra cotta color plastic pots are much harder to find, but I prefer that color and buy them whenever I can find them. As for the quality of these pots, I find they are outstanding. I have pots of the same brand that have been in use for over ten years. When one plant outgrows them I simply sterilize them and use them again.

Not the same item
Not like shown on the picture at all!!! My plants are all waiting this to get delivered so I can repot them but now my plans are throwing off....Look at my picture, this is 3.5 inch not 4 inch and the drainage hole is so much less. I need lots of drainage hole for my plants! This is not okay! Returning them.

3.5 inch instead
I ordered the 4 inch and received ones that were significantly smaller. On the pots it says 3.5 which makes it too small for what I needed them for.

Great for houseplant clippings
The plastic is better than expected at this price point. Sturdy with excellent drainage, which is good for the medium I'm using but probably not for a standard potting soil. They are also a little on the small side for 4" pots, but can be reused and work for my application as an initial pot for rooted houseplant clippings from water propagation.

Ordering from this listing can land you with 2 different quality pots
Note to potential buyers:You can receive two types of pots through ordering from this listing:1) Is a great fairly sturdy plastic pot that could do maybe 3 to 5 full seasons in the elements/outdoors2) A pot made of much more flimsy (and thin) plastic that will probably last you 1 to 2 outdoor seasons

Tiny and flimsy!
These guys are so much smaller and cheaply made than I expected! I want to return them but they aren’t even worth wasting the $$ on the ink and paper to print out the shipping label. Ugh

Double check the drainage holes if they are the priority!
Ordered this pots specifically for the amount of drains holes..... As you can see from the pictures enclosed not even close. I don't mind that the pots are different in general from the picture description as the purchase was based on the draining capability. Now my day of caring for plants is thrown off as I search for another seller and wait for delivery..........
