Excellent for Small Dogs
this is great to be able to have 2 dogs and 1 remote. I have only used the sound and they hate it, lol. it works extremely well on the little barking times. All I have to do now it put it on them and say no bark. they don't like the sound so they don't bark. I have not had to use the vibration and never would use the shock on the little dogs. Finally, one that works!!!

Finicky, but works.
The good is that these are tiny, and fit on my 10 lb pets with a 7-8in. neck. That's about the minimum size I would try, though. They hold a charge very well and seem well made. The biggest drawback is that the collars don't work every time. I'd say they work only 85-90% of the time, even at short range (under 20 ft.).I live in an apartment, so I'm trying to train my pets to be less vocal. The beep works most reliably, then the vibration, the shock I'll treat separately. There isn't any notice of low battery, but I keep them charged every week. Sometimes the collar won't work, but will work 5 seconds later or 5 minutes later. Often the pets can turn the collars off accidentally, the button needs to take a little longer before switching. The shock doesn't seem to work after the first two weeks but the light on the tester still works, and they still shock my arm when I try. My animals are stubborn and their fur is long, so they may be ignoring it.I would also like a break-away collar design instead of this solid belt design, for safety.

Great training aid!
We have two dachshunds; one that will whine quite a bit and the other that is afraid of other dogs and starts barking like crazy when other dogs are around. For the whiner, we only need to signal a tone to stop the whining, and for the barker, the vibration on level 7 is the most we have to go. We only one time had to use the static shock feature on him at a very low level once. He’s become a much easier dog to walk and take out, and is also much more at ease. We were absolutely against this type of training, but it really has been a life-saver.

Helpful
If you're trying to train your puppies/dogs not to do certain things, this might do the trick. Our puppies have plenty of room to run, but seem to be determined to attack the sprinkler heads or to thrash around in/on the shrubs, breaking off large branches. The buzz/vibrate/shock part of the collar is a bit bulky, so it's not something you would want or need to leave on at all times. In fact, the best way to use it would be sit in view of the dogs as they go about their business. You might have to "create a situation" in which you'd like to change their behavior, i.e., put the collars on, turn on the sprinkler system, and when they 'attack' your sprinkler heads, give them a light buzz. If they don't respond, you can use the low 'shock.' It's not bad. We tried it on ourselves first. For something that's always available to them, such as shrubbery, you would have to sit outside for long periods of time and just watch, ready with the remote to 'zap' them when they get to wild around the plants/shrubs. If you have time to do that, it should deter them even when you're not watching. We haven't found enough time yet, lol. The few times we've tried it, just the "vibrate" mode gets their attention. If they persist, the low shock mode has distracted them from whatever destructive behavior they're doing. We need to spend more time with it, but I think it's probably pretty effective.

These are perfect for my Chihuahua and my slightly bigger mutt.
Easy instructions. Easy set up. These are actually the second purchase of the same item. The first lasted for years. A beep or vibration is all I have ever used for training. Love them!

Faulty - battery issue
Within a few weeks of purchase and only a few uses the battery expanded and we were unable to close control case.Unfortunate as we liked the size of the collar on our small dog.

Works really well
I have 2 yappy tiny toy poodles who bark when the wind blows the wrong way. This has been helping allot, haven't had to use the shock yet just the vibration which really gets their attention. Went on vacation and forgot to bring collars but will work with them again when we get back back. Will update review then. But so far so good!

Stopped working after four months
Collars were okay... difficult to adjust, and you HAVE to use the collar it comes with due to how the electronic part is designed to attach on a collar. Problem with this is that your dog can't really wear a normal collar in addition to this ecollar, because the normal collar might slip under the prongs and disrupt the connection. So when you have to take the collar off to recharge it, your dog is naked and can't be leashed until you then equip them with a separate collar. Very tedious. Also in order for the shock to work you have to tighten the collar to a point that is almost cruel. Sometimes I had to remove the collar simply to let my dog eat, because otherwise it interfered with swallowing. But my real complaint is that both collars died after four months, within the same week. They can still make the "beep" noise but that's it. Not worth a hundred dollars, that's for sure.
