Terrific build quality for money!
I bought this desk for $175 I believe (they had an $50 off offer at the time of purchase) after I bought a $100 standing desk that had the split in the middle of the desk and had two piece join together. Huge mistake on my part for buying it, I felt that line every time using my mouse over it, was terrible. So I returned it and bought this one - it’s MDF board underneath a terrific bamboo-style top, like all of them, so ok there’s that. But the most important is that it’s a solid piece of MDF and not split in two. On top of that it comes preassembled with the main bracket, and motor already attached. The legs went on with ease. The way they designed the legs was pretty genius!Super quiet motor - which you don’t have to put a rod into: the rod is already mounted, which on cheaper desks you have to do yourself! And once this rod failed on my wife’s desk and it smash a monitor we had on it - I’d advise against buying one of those types which seem to come on all of the $100 or so desks. the buttons are super easy to use: one press and it goes right into the setting you set it at. The positioning of the buttons is on the right side which I prefer as well. The only thing that I prefer from the previous desk is the hooks for headphones, etc - the ones that this one comes with are just bent slim pieces of metal, and because it’s mdf board, the screws are not able to fully press these brackets in place, so they move ever so slightly. If they had rubber bushings to squeeze into, perhaps that would do the trick. But in any case these hooks bend super easily as well which isn’t very nice.Lastly, I want to mention that this desk is solid for writing on - the previous $100 desk had a slight wobble in it when writing pen to paper, which also was terrible. This desk is planted, and does not move! I’m a fountain pen user and that for me is extremely important.I hope this all makes sense and came across the way I intended it to! The hooks are really the only qualm I have but other than that, terrific desk!! I would highly recommend, and I never write reviews on Amazon, but felt compelled to as I just love this desk!

Life changing
This was my Cyber Monday gift to myself and my only regret is not buying one years ago. I cannot yet speak to longevity, as I've only had this desk for about four days, but it has already become the love of my life. Assembly took about half an hour probably with just lil ol me and the bits that came in the box - put on a podcast & have fun. Pro tip, just assemble it in the box it came in - no need to fuss around with blankets or towels or whatever. Use a box cutter, not scissors - don't play fast & loose with your fingers because you need them to turn screws. Actual operation of the desk is extremely straightforward; I find the glide very smooth and the motor sound unobnoxious (and I am very sensitive to sounds). My mission is to stand for my entire workday except for my meals & digestion period, when it's best to be seated. I find with more room to jitter and wiggle around, I'm getting in a lot more micro movement. I'm stretching. I'm dancing. It's much easier to just wander away from the desk and sneak in chores during quiet stretches. I've got a yoga mat behind the desk to do some mobility/rehab work necessitated by way too many years of sitting at a desk. Make sure you're propping up your monitors to an optimal height to encourage a neutral head/neck position and be mindful of your standing position (foot width, even weight distribution, not being all twisted & janky). If you can stand looking at yourself (or even if you can't because it's good to practice at least attaining body neutrality), it's a good idea to mount a mirror behind the desk (and perhaps have a full length mirror to one side for another perspective) so you can check in on your posture regularly as you're learning how to correct years of maladaptations caused by sitting on your ass for 14 hours a day. Don't make the mistake I made and hem & haw for 5 years about whether you'd REALLY get enough value out of a sit/stand desk to justify the cost. Your body needs you to do better. I know because my body needed me to do better, and it's now extremely easy to do that. Okay, I love you, bye.

Rooms for improvement
I got the bamboo color. The products came with very good and detail padding and production, so everything is intact during shipment. Assembly is definitely not 5 min, the description is exaggerated. Took me 30-45 min for me since I’m not handy and had my daughter help with lifting and some installation steps, is not hard, but definitely not 5 min easy, the video instructions are good enough to show all the steps. Came with all necessary tools including screw driver .My height is 5 feet 3 inch, so I think the lowest height setting is not low enough for my arms to rest at 90 degree ankle, but overall it is a great desk, seems sturdy even weight limit is 110 pounds, the legs are metal so should be strong enough. Wish the thickness is at least 1 inch, wish it can bear more weight at this price point, wish more color choices like maple, natural wood. The controls are easy to navigate, motor considered as quiet, table consider stable. It will be nice if the motor parts are in white than black, will look nice with bamboo. Some other models have drawer options which will be nice if this desk have it too, if can make it optional feature to add to the desk will be wonderful. Hooks that came with it are useful feature to this desk. Hopefully it can last long.
