Does this work on Tongue sores?

Does it form a waterproof-like layer and stick where sore is, and relief pain when you drink or eat? Does the layer easily washed away when eat?

Orajel dissolves in just a few minutes and just blends with the mouth's saliva. It has a refreshing taste, though, and it instantly makes the tooth or gum halfway numb for, in my experience, about fifteen minutes, but it provides instant and long lasting pain relief. I probably averaged about six hours between applications, but it is different for everyone, I would assume. My opinion -- I used it every day for four months, to the point when the pharmacy ran out I personally asked the pharmacist to order lots more. When they couldn't seem to keep it in stock and went to Amazon, where you can get anything anytime.

Can do use it more than 4X day listed on the box? I need a few more times if possible.

Got rid of my canker sore FAST

I don’t usually write reviews, but this product truly deserves one. I had a really painful canker sore on the inside of my lip that made it hard to eat, drink, or even talk comfortably. I tried salt water rinses and other home remedies, but nothing seemed to help — until I tried Orajel 3X for Mouth Sores. As soon as I applied it, the pain relief was almost instant. The numbing effect kicked in within seconds, and it lasted long enough for me to get through meals and conversations without discomfort. What really impressed me, though, was how quickly it helped the sore heal. Within just a couple of days of using it a few times a day, my canker sore was almost completely gone. By day three, it had healed up entirely! I also like that the gel is easy to apply — it stays in place pretty well and doesn’t sting when it goes on. The taste isn’t bad either, especially compared to some other oral gels I’ve tried in the past. If you suffer from canker sores, mouth irritations, or even small cuts inside your mouth, I highly recommend keeping a tube of this in your medicine cabinet. It works fast, relieves pain effectively, and genuinely helps speed up healing.

It Works!

Great stuff. Canker sore on my lips had been bothering me for a week. Cold sore cream did nothing. I put the Oragel on at bedtime (it tastes nasty) and the next morning it was nearly healed. One more night and it was gone.

Good product for short temporary relief.

Pros ✅ Fast working ✅ Easy to apply ✅ You only need a little so the tube will last a long time ✅ Relatively inexpensive. Cons ❎ Tastes bad ❎ Will numb just about anywhere if you're not careful. I accidentally numbed the top of my tongue. DO NOT swallow this. ❎ Only lasts like 10 minutes max. ❎ So far haven't really felt like it increases healing.

Great for numbing hurting gums

Used these for my hurting gums after getting braces. I’ve now since then gotten them removed but this is a great product for the first weeks with braces

If you have a problem in your mouth it works really great I had a problem with my tongue where it was throbbing and once you put it on it it would just take the pain away this stuff works great!!!
