Very informative book on driving skills!
Very informative book on driving skills featured. Would be an asset for beginners to study to improve their skills behind the wheel. As a previous experienced motorcyclist, before gaining my car license, found many of the points covered related to my motorcycle riding days. In essence gaining valuable skills to stay alive on the roads!

Advanced Drivers manual.
This is the textbook you will need for any of the IAM or RoSPA advanced driving courses. It’s well written and contains a lot of information. Not all of the book applies to civilian drivers, but the principles are sound.I have knocked off a star because I feel the book needs further examples, but in fairness that is what a course is for.

The gift of seeing yourself as others see you...
This book gives drivers old and new a strong nudge towards treating safe driving as a skill to be enjoyed and developed: it makes you think about how to seek out clues to future events, the signs that betray drivers' intentions, and give them clues about yours. It illustrates the glimpses of things you would otherwise not have noticed or thought significant that will make you - and the others - safer.Much revised over its life, its originally stuffy style having been much softened, Roadcraft is a very readable and relevant book recognising the technological developments in modern cars which have hidden influences on the way your car, and you, drive. As a driver of a 22-year-old Toyota, I need to know these things too!It should be compulsory reading for the inexperienced.

A very useful book but . . .
. . the only problem was that the particular one I ordered never arrived !I have since borrowed a copy from the public library, and I can recommend it to anyone who wants to improve his/her driving skills

Improved driving
My late father owned this book...back in the day, and was and Advanced Motorist.I caught a speeding fine about a month ago and had to do a speed awareness course. I thought ' I need to improve my driving'.If you want to improve your driving and thus improve your safety and that of others, then this book is the way forward.Ok, we may not all become advanced motorists, but there's always room for improvement.
