Read the instructions. Make sure you follow the directions and put 4 cups of water in it on high for about 30 minutes before using it the first time. It burns off a smell to it and cleans any chemical in the pot that comes in shipping. Then after it cools off wash it with detergent. The heating pot smell went away after I did that. Also the outside of it gets hot so be careful around kids or putting it close to something. Large handles for holding it. Super big. Cooked a roast in it today and it was perfect and tender! I love it!

The pros- If you’re looking for a wide and deep crockpot, this is certainly one. It’s nice because it has a digital timer and 3 settings, which is very convenient to set it and forget it. You can put a TON of food in this thing. The price was unbelievable. I use a liner so I don’t have to clean it. The insert is removable so you can always store your leftovers in the same container.The cons- this thing is heavy!!! The heaviest crockpot I’ve ever seen. The high seems way too high for a slow cooker- it boils your food, and it cooks more on one side than the other. Even the low setting is high for a low setting. Maybe I got one that is a little glitchy, but just to be safe watch how it cooks the first few times you use it.

Junk will try to catch fire crock busted after 2 uses. Plenty of juice from a roast it just over heats. And Customer Support does nothing just says crock cracked. After 2 uses this is best trash u can buy. Stick with a crock pot brand had one for 15 years never a issue with them.
