High quality item and simple to assemble
I purchased this item as a monitor riser. Granted, when I bought it, I didn't expect much...I never do with composite materials. When the package arrived it was very efficiently packed and well protected. I did note the weight of it was nice too. As I unwrapped each piece, I realized how nicely made this is. It was a hard smooth composite, no sawdust rough edges. Nice finish. All edges were finished too, unlike many pieces that leave the back side unfinished. Assembly was pretty simple, took me about 10 minutes or so by myself. Instructions were pretty clear. Although the cam locks in the illustration can be confusing at first. I simply tested them out beforehand to make sure I had the direction correct. I did have a little bit of trouble installing the shelf by myself as you kind of have to hold it up with one hand while starting a screw with the other. I did it pretty easily once I figured it out. Once it was together I was very pleased. I purchased the 16.7" unit. The keyboard does not slide underneath, but that is not my intent with this one. I use it for the monitor and the shelf to keep post-it notes and accessories on/under. I have to say...I'm no stranger to "build-it" style furniture. I've purchased and assembled many a Sauder and Ikea product in my lifetime. After receiving this product and putting it together, I searched Amazon for any other products by Fitueyes to see what more I can add to my collection. I'm sold on their quality for sure.

Fantastic monitor stand for home office (or any office)
Fantastic monitor stand for home office (or any office). I have two Asus 23.5" monitors side by side on these and they are very stable on these stands. With the monitors pushed up next to each other, they do not side exactly center on the stands, but rather sit about 1 1/4 inch askew (away from center) - not a big deal aesthetically for me, but though I would mention this. The storage is great and helps keep my desk de-cluttered. You can fit magazines long way, but they will extend out the back. Given the monitors and position of my desk (against a wall), I do not see this as an issue. There is no back to the shelves, so if the back of your desk is visible to others, they will be able to see through the shelves. They were fairly simple to put together, although one unit had a defect. I contacted the seller and received a replacement unit very quickly and with no hassle. Great Seller!

Functional and affordable
Gets the job done. This is a sharp-looking stand and very affordable. The finish is smooth, but the corners are a little bit sharp, so be careful when putting it together. Also, I think some of the screw holes were drilled slightly off, so it took a bit of effort to put the shelf together at the end. Once assembled, I think it's slightly asymmetrical, but that's only noticeable if you put pressure on one corner of the stand. Otherwise, it appears level and stable most of the time. I believe this is just a thin veneer over MDF, so don't try sitting on it or storing your bowling ball on it, but it should be perfectly able to support a typical laptop and a few light items (pencils, erasers, stapler, etc.) on its shelf. Plus you can also store other small items (e.g., bluetooth keyboard) out of the way on the desk underneath the unit. It's not the most beautiful desk accessory ever, but I think it's good value and hope it will be durable in the long run. It feels much safer and more stable than my previous ad hoc solution (a stack of books). I'm hoping this stand will enable me to maintain proper posture at the desk. Already I feel a bit more energy and focus, with the ability to take deeper breaths more easily since my internal organs are not squashed as I hunch over to examine my keyboard. One thing to note - I believe experts recommend that the top of your monitor be about 2 inches below your eyes when sitting upright. That's just about right for me with this stand, laptop and desk. But I'm about 6 feet tall. A shorter person might find the screen too high, or a taller person might still need to look down. I guess that's why an adjustable stand (something like this - https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Ventilated-Adjustable-Laptop-Stand/dp/B00WRDS8H0/ref=sr_1_3?s=office-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1504620201&sr=1-3&keywords=adjustable) might be better for some people. PS - I like the 3M rubbery 'dots' that they included to stick on the bottom of the unit so that it doesn't slide around. It's a little thing, but very clever and I'm glad to see they didn't skimp - going with 3M which has an awesome reputation when it comes to sticky tech :)

Perfect for my home office
These were exactly what I needed for my home office (bought 2 for my 2 monitors). Easy to assemble, sturdy, perfect height for me to avoid the neck strain I was getting. I had been using a box approximately 3 in tall prior to buying to see what height would be best for me before buying. Having that extra couple inches made a big difference. And now it looks great too! Shelf is perfect for what I need for storing papers, supplies, etc. I can see this working well for a printer station at home as well. Highly recommend.

Great deal!
This is such a great product. IT was packaged really well and even had plastic protectors on all 4 corners. I was weary to order based on some of the bad reviews I read, but after putting it together myself I can honestly say it was a breeze. The pieces weren’t labeled, but there are only 4 pieces of wood and 2 are the same, so although that was a big complaint that I read in other reviews it didn’t bother be one bit. It was so simple to put together and I used 1 tool for the entire thing. The directions were super clear in what to do. I love it on my desk and it gives me the storage I need, as well as bringing my laptop up to a more even level with my monitors! I think this is a great deal for the price!!

I'm in love with this darn thing.
Basically, I bought this so I can have more space on my desk by sticking my keyboard underneath and so I can store some staple art supplies that I'm always using. It looks really good honestly, and it's actually very study with my heavy monitor on top- it's doesn't wobble at all. The instructions were fairly clear and it took me I'd say 10 minutes to assemble the whole thing(I used a drill - this item doesn't come with a screw driver for you to use so please already have one). I'm able to fit two 5.5 by 8.5 sketchbooks, a small water color tin, and huge beast of a palettte and a medium size water color set with plenty of room to spare like 4-5 more small tin palettes if I stack them. Overall, I'm really happy with this and considering it's under 20$ it really is worth more than its price for the quality and use.

You get what you pay for
And in this case if you pay $20 for a monitor stand you will receive a surprisingly heavy (or perhaps, more charitably, "solid") slab of flat-pack parts, a baggie of screws, and absolutely ZERO instructions or tools. The lack of instructions was slightly surprising, as the product was actually packed with a lot of care. Luckily, if you've put together IKEA furniture in the past, you'll find this easy to puzzle out. Construction is a bit of a pain, as it involves a lot of screwing in very tiny screws and the pilot holes for said screws are somewhat haphazardly placed. Still, it came together and is reasonably stable even though a couple of the screws simply couldn't be screwed in all the way due to their position. It also comes with little plastic covers to go over the locking mechanism that connects the legs to the top, and I couldn't get those into place but...I don't actually care about them so whatever. I'm using it to organize my shelves rather than hold a monitor so I can't speak to how much weight it can actually hold, but it otherwise is serviceable. If you're looking for a cheap option to get some height for your monitor, you could probably do worse.
