DC Super Hero Girls Supergirl Action Doll with Cape

So, I was going to give my 7yr old grand-daughter a doll with fancy clothes, porcelain face and arms, that had a music box in it. Her Mom advised against it for the time being (with good reason!). So I had to go to another plan and put the porcelain doll away for a few years.I spent HOURS going through the Amazon dolls looking for "just the right one". I've already given her an "American Girl" doll; she has several fashion dolls, and I am not big on those. And many of the other trending dolls just looked creepy to me! (Yes, there are other toys out there, but at Christmas, I give her a doll!) Then I saw this one. It looks so "wholesome" compared to all the others. Still I put off ordering it.Still mulling, I happened to be out shopping one day (infrequent occurrence) and saw these in the store. That cinched it. Bigger than I had envisioned, and fairly sturdy looking, I decided to order it. I like the whole idea of the super hero girls, and they are made in reasonable proportions. I expect she will play with these on her own, but also with older brother and his batman action figures.I am very pleased with the quality, appearance, and packaging of the DC super hero supergirls dolls.

This is the most beautiful Supergirl doll I have seen. She is very well articulated, poseable, and sturdy. I also like how she is flesh toned and comes with real doll clothes and not clothes that are painted on the doll body.The only thing about the packaging I did not like ( and this is the case with a lot of dolls these days )is that the plastic you have to cut to remove it out of the box is attached inside the doll's head meaning if you're not extremely careful you could end up snipping some of the doll's hair.My 6 year old loves Supergirl and she was really happy to get it for her birthday. I may buy another one just to keep it in the box as a collectable since it is really pretty and not too expensive. If you're going to buy a Supergirl doll, this is definitely the one to get.

My three year old daughter loves the show and the dolls were on her Birthday wish list. I purchased Batgirl and Supergirl. Both are sturdy and the arms and legs move at the joints. I do not like the updates they did that the dolls are harder to move. I will say they have super stiff hair, but even Barbies seem to have unrealistic hair! They are played with daily at our house. These are a little more expensive than the new version, but it is worth it!

A gift for my daughters birthday. It came pretty quickly, the packaging was like someone had previously opened it but the toy wasn’t used. It’s a great doll and my daughter loves it

I looked for this doll in the store and found out they do not carry them. These are the first of the dolls and they have updated the way they look now, which I do not like. These are original dolls and for me, they are better quality and better looking. I received this on time and in great condition.

My 6yo niece wasn't even familiar with the character, and she loves it!The cape does come off very easily. (Wow, that was a bad design for attaching it!)But it's an easy fix, *IF* the kid is old enough to be trusted with a couple of twist-ties. (Use blue for best results!)Attach one twist tie to each of the cape's holes. Bring the twist ties forward over her shoulders, then back below her arms. Twist the two ties together across her back and tuck the ends up so they aren't visible under the cape.Using this method, Supergirl's cape stayed on through a ton of play. And if she wants the cape off, a grown-up can remove it for her in seconds.

This to me is the best of all of the figures they make in this line, other then one of the Poison Ivy figures. Un like most of this product line, she does not have molded on costume parts but is a true doll. Everything comes off and you can dress her in any outfit you want. Her articulation is amazing, her hands come off and she even has a gripping hand instead of just palm flat or clenched fist.
