Spouse had severe stroke and we have no walk in showers-tub showers only. Originally bought to use in tall claw foot tub as it was closest bathroom to where he was convalescing at home and wheelchair wouldn't fit in other doors. Unfortunately the tub was too tall with chair for him to use. Plan B, we used it in shorter builders grade tub/shower as swivel chair and works like a charm. he says it's comfortable and we can adjust height perfectly. Dries pretty fast, too, so I can take it out after his shower and store it for next time. Added bonus is the extra legs to increase height if needed,as well as level it. We used it half in and half out of tub at first, and the adjustments made it perfectly level. Now we used it fully in the tub and it's easy for him to swivel and use and feet keep it in place.Chair is also lightweight but durable. We use it in therapy,too, as we can get height perfect for leg band exercises. He's even had me take it to the backyard as opposed to using the lower lawn furniture. I was worried about the price being higher than wanted to spend, but this thing has been worth it.

Although I am impressed with the way this chair is big enough for my 230 lb husband and the mechanicals are superb, I am disappointed in the quality of the seat as whatever it is made of is very porous and stains seep in to stay. I cannot get it clean.

The sides of my bathtub are too high for my 83 year old mother to get into. I purchased this chair to make it possible for her to use the tub. The pivoting chair with locking feature and the chair arms are a great aid for the elderly.
