Good value
These are good value even though I have to use three each time for my Miele coffee machine. The Miele tablets are larger but work out quite expensive. These work well.

Good price.
I have tried these both in a Jura bean to cup coffee machine and a kettle. The tablets don't seem to dissolve completely, some residue left in the mixing jug but after running through the descaling cycle I noted that the water tank was clear of scale where the mixture had been. Difficult to judge their effectiveness as the machine is sealed but there was some coffee residue washed out of the system. The kettle I tried them in only had a light coating of scale, I usually use Kilrock k descaler which is added to boiling water and removes every trace of scale. I dissolved two tablets as directed and poured it in the kettle, I then got sidetracked and left the solution in for over an hour instead of three minutes, even after this time there was still scale in the kettle. However they appear to work well in coffee machines and are only a fraction of the price of Jura tablets.

Worked really well (soft water area)
The media could not be loaded. I live in an area with soft water so scale build up is not a major issue. These tablets work fine for me, but I can’t say if they are as effective in hard water / high scale areas.Whilst scale isn’t a huge problem in my area, I am a stickler for descaling my bean to cup machine as it isn’t a cheap item to replace and I get a lot of use out of it. I tend to use liquid descaling solutions as I find powders and tablets don’t always dissolve fully and there is a gritty residue left over, but these tablets dissolved quickly and cleanly in warm water. They started fizzing straight away and with some agitation and manual braking up with a spoon to speed up the process, they disappeared without a trace. My coffee machine has a descaling function where it draws a small amount of fluid, lets it sit for a few minutes and then repeats the cycle. I left this run and after a few cycles I could see the expelled fluid was slightly cloudy which is about the same as I get with liquid descalers.I had no visual reference to see if these tablets were working, so I popped one in the kettle which isn’t heavily scaled, but was coated nonetheless. You use 1 tablet per 250ml of water, so I dropped one into the required amount and poured this into the kettle. The scale was almost all gone after about 2 mins with just some stubborn thicker scale left behind. After 4 mins it was completely gone and looking like new.I took some of the descaling fluid from the kettle and used this to dribble around the base of my kitchen tap. I left it to stand and the little scale around the tap was reduced to just a few marks, so the fluid hadn’t reached saturation point and could have handled a heavier build up.

Cleaned my kettle a treat, and great value too.
I received these descaler tablets. Now, I don't live in an area with exceptionally hard water, but it's hard enough that the kettle gets some limescale build up on a yearly basis, so I thought these descaler tablets would be interesting to try, rather than the usual elbow-grease I usually have to employ to get rid of the scale. And I was incredibly impressed. I understand that these are stated for use primarily with coffee machines, but I used a couple of these in my kettle with some hot water and the results were fantastic. I've included a couple of photos to show the before and after and as you can see, nearly all of the scale had gone. A couple of rinses and a small wipe and the kettle was as good as new.I can imagine that those in harder water areas might need to use these more frequently, but the value is still excellent for what you get. Even if you needed to do this every three months, that's still only six tablets a year, meaning that these could potentially last you for well over eight years.Highly recommend these.

Easy to use
The best thing about a descaler dedicated to coffee machines is that you don't have to worry about calculating quantities. Just drop two tablets into 500ml of warm water and wait for them to dissolve. There did appear to be a little obstinate residue in the solution but it soon disappeared with a brisk stir.I poured the solution into the tank of my coffee machine and left it the recommended three minutes before activating the machine. The solution ran through, without any of the strong smell I have noticed with some descalers, after which I flushed with two tanks of clean water.I immediately made myself a coffee, to ensure that there was no aftertaste and was not disappointed. It's hard to rate the effectiveness of this product without stripping the machine but the parts I can see, importantly the valve at the base of the water tank, all appear clean and free from scale. It's definitely worth the investment to protect your coffee maker.
