I received this product yesterday and felt compelled to write a review. I have been after a storage box in this colour to match my dressing room, which is navy and ochre. I already have one in ochre from The Range, but felt the colour was a bit too bright and therefore it looked a bit cheap. I Could not find a velvet navy box anywhere. However I decided to look on Amazon and found this. Due to the mixed reviews, I was dubious. However I decided to go for it and it arrived within two days. I have to say I’m really impressed. For the price, you are never going to get a really steady and robust storage box of fantastic quality. However for £29 including postage, this is spot-on. I decided not to add the legs to it. It’s very easy to put together, within a minute or two. It’s a decent size and despite some of the other photographs I have seen on here, mine is decent quality, no bits hanging off it and no missing parts. The main selling point for me is the colour. It’s hard to tell based on the main photo and the photographs people have put on their reviews. Hopefully mine are clear enough for people to see the actual colour. It’s a lovely rich dark navy. As I said before, I haven’t found anything like this before for this price. I was looking at £150, £200 for something similar so I am over the moon that I found this. Cheap and cheerful and does the job but the colour is beautiful and my dressing room is now exactly how I wanted it.

Visually, the product is lovely. Very soft to the touch and easy to assemble. Doesn't take up a lot of room either. Sadly within 6 days of having the time, the wooden strip on the side of the lid had snapped. However, after contacting the seller, they offered to send another one, free of charge, and it turned up the next day! Very happy customer - thanks for the great service.

This is suitable for the use we needed...to keep a few office items out of the way when not in use. There is enough room for our needs and I haven’t noticed any smells. It looks tidy enough, but not anywhere near as plush as the image.A quibble with the courier...left this leaned outside the front door without letting us know.Overall disappointing, as other reviewers mentioned, not good value for money, you could not sit on it (the sides are more like a thick card or thin wood and would buckle). I’d be reluctant to even use it as a footstool, but luckily that wasn’t why we need it. Also, happens to be the ideal height to bruise the lower leg if you accidentally trip on it, so beware!

Good item

Bought this item in the first photo as a foot rest to match my chair in the second photo. I think the rest speaks for itself. Amazon contacted the seller who promptly sent a replacement but unfortunately it was exactly the same product. I received a full refund but feel bad for the seller who lost out on the profit but at the same time, the seller could have been more accurate with the description. The feet on the bottom don’t screw on properly so for the price and the quality regardless of the colour and my experience, I would avoid buying this item.
