Well almost perfect
As far is the installation and product itself easy and well made. Now the bad. As with anything expensive shipping it is always a gamble. And yes the item showed up open and damaged. Now I did fix the bent piece but seriously WTF!

Solo Install, well yes.
I ordered this for our Keystone Bullet. The slide bakes in the heat, so we wanted a cover mainly for that, but also deflecting debris and such. I installed this 100% solo, but I did cheat: I have a scissor lift. This made is much easier for all aspects of the install. The last part was to slide the bead into the channel. I merely laid the awning on top of the scissor lift at the end of the cannel, fed the bead in, then drove the lift toward the track. Getting the hex bars into place was interesting, ended up using a crescent wrench to provide enough torque to it to have it align into the supports. After, tapping it into place with a plastic hammer.

Slide awning
This was a blemished slide awning that was $100 off. A great but considering I couldn't find and blemish. Easy to install ( recommend viewing videos ). The only reason I gave it a 4 star is there is too much tension on the spring and it prevents the slide top from going out fully. Recommended

Sags in middle & too much tension on ends.
I ordered the 12'6" (12'1" Fabric) topper and installed it myself with about 30 minutes of assistance. The size was correct and the total install took about 1.5hrs. Half of that was measuring and re-measuring where I wanted to install the brackets before drilling the holes. All in all installation went well, but I won't focus too much on it because I do not recommend this topper.When it rained on our first trip out the middle immediately sagged and collected water. I had to run the slide in to remove the pooled water. I figured I could live with this by putting some noodles, etc under the slide to give the middle some extra support. However, on our next trip (2 months after install) I noticed an odd sound from inside the trailer. After several minutes of investigation I noticed that the middle of the roller itself was sagging causing the ends to pull in. This caused too much tension on the ends and was beginning to pull the awning rail away from the trailer on the ends. My son and I had to remove the canopy there at the campsite to prevent further damage. I wish I had taken pictures but I was too worried about getting it removed.What a waste of money. Luckily we caught it early and can re-attach the awning rail with new butyl tape and slightly larger screws. I had such high hopes for this topper. Very disappointing.

Tap out all threaded holes before you start some are not tapped out all the way
The product is great the materials are of good quality be sure to tap all threaded holes before starting installation 1st one took 3 hours to install tapped holes in 2nd one and it took 20 minutes to complete installation

Easy to follow directions were also included
Bought this for my Sprinter Travel Trailer. I noticed that some reviews said it did not come with the awning rail. Mine arrived by truck, well before the anticipated delivery date and very well packed in heavy round cardboard tubes. When I unpacked it, I found it contained everything I needed for installation except the butyl tape, which I was not expecting anyway. It came with the awning rails, all hardware, and screws for the complete installation. Easy to follow directions were also included. VERY PLEASED with this purchase. Oh, BTW, just for comparison, I checked the price against what my local RV supply dealer could give me and when I told him what they were selling for on Amazon, he told me there was no way he could touch the price and told me to just order them on Amazon.

Our trailer was pre rigged for this model which made it very easy to install, if your trailer isn't pre rigged there is lots of information on youtube as how to install a slide topper. Ours was installed in less than twenty minutes. Yes very happy.

2017 Grand Design Reflection slide topper. Install was simple and all the parts I needed were included. This item looks great on my trailer.
