Great tool< to have.

I've been using this little kit to set some 5mm rivets. Be warned, there are no instructions included in the kit, so you'll have to do some research/ experimentation on your own. You should practice first before you do it on whatever project you have going.I watched a video where a guy was showing how to set rivets and the posts he had had little concave bottoms to hold double faced rivets. The ones in this kit don't have that, they have a hole that I assume is to accommodate snaps. So what I did was set the rivet in the appropriate divet on the anvil, snap the opposite rivet on, take the grommet anvil and place the concave side down on the rivet, place the largest post over the center of the grommet anvil, and hammer down. I don't know if that's how you're supposed to use this, but it worked for me to set double sided rivets. Hope this helps anyone struggling.

I had to replace some brass saps on some vintage military gear. I tried some other tools, but could not get it done. I bought this to see if it would work. After studying all the tools briefly, I was able to use a combination of the included tools to accomplish the repair. The tools are all well made and sturdy. The finish on everything is good.

This works for what it's intended, but I wish products like these came with instructions on each part instead of having to research everything.

Leather punches provided are nearly useless even on thin leather. Better off buying a full sized punch with handles to save your hand and time. Rivet setting was alright, though. I just used a hammer with the provided anvil because it was easier.

I have tried a couple and so far this is the best one and it's super affordable. It comes with different size anvils and different sizes for the back of the rivets. (I am completely new to rivets and the terminology). It also comes with different size hole punches as well... How cool? I am extremely happy and grateful to have this set in my collection. Highly recommend this item especially for newbies like me.
